Weather was scorching hot outside and as we walked from the park to the Paseo de Montejo we stumbled across what we had hoped would have been a nice air-conditioned cafe. We were wrong. Hotter than the outside, this cafe had a very nice man attending (who doesn't deserve this 1-star review) but in the end was a strange and... More

Meh meh meh. Such a great location and building. This should be a total social center, but it insists on being mediocre in every way.

The location here makes it a great place to stop after meandering the Paseo De Montejo and still view the goings on as you enjoy your meal. The food is rather expensive, but not out of line with others right on the Paseo. The buffet was nothing exceptional but nor was there anything to complain about. The place was packed... More

Maybe it was because they were only two waiters, but the service was slow and when the food did come out we were kind of tired of waiting. Another table walked out after waiting a while. The food was OK with the chicken with rajas tasting good, but the cream in the sauce had broken so it did not look... More

We ate here several times during our two months in Merida, partly due to its close proximity to our vacation rental. It is a huge dining room that reminds us of Europe. Service was good but food delivery seemed to be a bit slow. Not too many tourists here. Food was quite good. We did not try their breakfast buffet... More

We ate here on a Sunday morning after watching the Saturday parades during Carnaval. They had a breakfast buffet that included coffee and juice for 100 pesos. It was very good. We were about to order eggs any way so we opted for a scrabmle with ham, veg and cheese. It was very good as was the coffee. Service was... More

The breakfast buffet here in Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays is excellent and a very good value at 109 pesos per person. There was a large assortment of fresh fruit, fresh fruit juices, Mexican traditional dishes, Mexican and European pastries, as well as eggs, any style, made to order, plus coffee. The restaurant is very clean and peaceful and the service... More

The Cafe is very pleasant and features meals of local cuisine. We had the 'huevos multolenos,' 'lime supa,' and 'supa aztecca' which were very tasty. The Cafe is clean and there are wait-staff who are fluent in English.

I only go here for breakfast, they have a good buffet of 'local' dishes, although you can order off the menu if the local stuff doesn't thrill you. Fortunately for me it does; fresh fruit, beans, chilaquiles, scrambled eggs, salsas. I think it's a darn good breakfast place.
