My wife and I stopped here for espresso. I told the owner, an American man, to please make them strong. He said no problem. When they arrived we saw that they were weak and looked and tasted like watery ordinary coffee. I politely sent them back with an explanation that we wanted strong black espresso. He said no problem and... More

Great banana nut bread. Nice location to stop and watch the world go by. Pies looked good, but too much for me. Love Pasado Montejo calle.

Lots of English speakers frequent this cafe. The coffee is great and the staff will make it to any caffeine specifications your body needs. Try their scrumptious tarts. I love this cafe's zen powder room, too. All this on the beautiful Paseo de Montejo!

Stopped here as we wandered paseo montejo and the apple pie (with sour cherries) was just great. And the coffees were good (although I am still not used to the milk here) and the proprietor knows to put two shots even in the small cup which is the knowledge of a true coffee person. If it was closer to where... More

This is a great little coffee bar with limited food items. Wonderful meeting spot for the ex-pats in the area. On Paseo de Montejo at about Calle 39 it's great for people watching.

I live across the street from the Café when in Merida. A capuccino in the afternoon usually revives my spirits. After two visits my capuccino appeared automatically on my table. Now that is service! When I felt the need for some food, there were wonderful choices. The food is simple, reasonable portions are served, and all is very tasty. Try... More

Friendly expat hangout on the Paseo. Sit outside if there are no bugs .. but sometimes, there are bugs. Croissants for breakfast could be habit-forming, and a whole lot better than what they're selling at Starbucks up the street.

Went to Cafe La Boheme to use my pc because it's hard to find wifi access outside of house. Had Te Chai and a Roast Beef Panini. Both were good, no complaints. Around 2:00, it became crowded.

We needed a light dinner last night so we walked down to Cafe La Boheme on the Paseo. We ordered a chicken quesadilla and a mango smoothie. The food was simple and not too spectacular, but the smoothie was a good way to end a long day of walking and shopping. Only one guy was working (I think their busy... More
