Traditional Yucatan food and beautiful building!

Great food, great place. A little hot, no AC, but good breeze. It is located downtown, very close to several attractions, including the Merida market. There are several boutique hotels in the area.

Stopped in during our day in Meridan and had a very good meal here! Place is small , so you might find a wait but worth it, keep your self busy with the shop across the street in the mean time they have the best prices on all the pretty cotton shirts And tops thru out town. The restraurant has... More

When you arrive in Merida..you aré ansious to eat the traditional local food.they open since 7.00 am and the place is packed all they long. Quality / Price is well balance and you find an array of typical traditional dishes.two ladies are making fresh and real "tortillas" mostly all the time. A very enjoyable place.

The food was great. Lime soup grew to be y favorite over the time we spent in Merida. Simplicity at its finest.

We liked this place. Went back for breakfast and dinner. There are two locations, one is really small corner and the other one is in a big old house, really nice. Both were equally tasty. Service wasgreat and we never had to wait for a table in any of the two, maybe it was luck.

This restaurant is near downtown Merida and part of it has an open courtyard concept, with a huge tree in the courtyard, which can be very pleasant on a nice night The food is very good and the menu is in both Spanish and English, which is very helpful for their tourist guests. They have a large selection of excellent... More

The food is delicious, highly recommend! We went to the location at Santa Lucia Park and sat in the courtyard, was perfect for our first meal in Merida. Order a few dishes and place in centre for everyone to share, that way you taste many plates. Will return on each trip to Merida.

This restaurant is reviewed as one of the 10 best restaurants in Yucatan and we were not disappointed as it was quite reasonable compared to the restaurants in St. Lucia park, for instance, and the food was good. We especially appreciated the fact that other Mexicons were dining there. Unlike other reviewers, our service was fine and the food arrived... More

The waiter was grumpy and unfriendly. The whole staff looked like they hated life. The food was average at best - meat was dry. We were kicking ourselves for missing delicious, authentic food with a fun, friendly local staff that were glad you were there.
