sorry for this bad review but we didn't like our experience there. this was the most horrible pizza we had in the entire world ... it was like throwing stuff on the pizza, undercook it and serve... we didn't even finish it... walking distance same block same side of street there is another smaller place where we went twice (just... My aim is to always avoid slamming a hard-working business, but given the swarm of customers at Vito's, even at 10:30 pm on a weekday, I don't think they're going out of business anytime soon. But here are the basic facts: the surly man who took our order and our money was not nice (I'm being nice by calling him... More

I had tried their lasagne last year and it was excellent. After a long day climbing pyramids yesterday I wanted an easy meal and chose the Corleone pizza (ham, salami & mushrooms) with garlic bread, $5 for both, takeaway. The pizza looked and smelled good, but the taste wasn't great. Today after feeling not so good and too many visits... More

Being vegetarians it is so difficult to find food to eat. This place offers excellent veg pizzas and pasta delicious and generous portions for a reasonable price.

Cute name, good location. I passed it many, many times on my way to Poncho's, Amaro's, La Paranda, etc. So I finally tried it. A sliced hot dog is their version of "Italian sausage". Never again. Nuff said?

I've been eyeing this pizzeria for ages - they are always packed in the evenings and their bright-yellow pizza oven has curb appeal. Finally, on this trip, my friends and I got an Italiano-to-go and took it back to our hotel. It was the best pizza I have had in ages and I was tempted to try them out again... More

I have a special place in my heart for this place. 35 or so years ago, my husband (he was my boyfriend back then) and I found Don Vito's just as he was opening up for the first time - we were probably his all-time 3rd and 4th customers. Marcello (I think that's his name) did all the kneading and... More

Although tasty, the cracker-like crust, lack of garlic powder, but particularly the scary filth of the place (cockroach on the wall and encrusted food on the spice containers) prompt removal of this joint from any list of recommended pizzas restaurants in Merida.

The restaurant itself is kind of dirty and the food isn't great. Everything that goes on the pizza is and tastes canned. I saw the cook poor a bottle of orange Fanta in the canned tomato sauce; I don't know what that was about. The service is fine, but the pizza is really overpriced for just being assembled rather than... More

I have been to over 50 countries and pizza being my favorite food I have tried pizzerias around the globe. I have never had a worse pizza (and I've had quite a few bad ones) than this one. Smells good and with the old pizza oven out front thought it would at least be decent.....don't waste your pesos here....walk 1/2... More
