My title says it all. We got chicken mole (which was good), quesadillas (good) and rice with platanos (also solid). Overall this place has not much atmosphere but the service and food were very good, while price was great. Don't come here for a romantic dinner, but come if you want a solid, yummy, affordable meal!

el trapiche is a hole in the wall kind of place, budget minded, local food, no real ambiance, waiters aer there to take your order and bring your order, questionable sanitation, DO NOT use the restrooms. Other than that you can get a good solid meal at a very reasonable price, the juices they mix are fabulous. Local tip -... More

Very convenient plato del dia for 50 pesos incl. soup, meal, and juice (try agua de chaya). Daily menu ends by 3:30 but you can even pay for it one day in advance so that they keep your meal until 6 or 7 p.m.

I think I must have eaten here 5 times in the past 10 days..It's very comfortable and convenient to where I am staying. I had the fruit salad with yogurt and granola twice and it was delicious. I also had a very good Cesar Salad, and the Poc Chuc was very tender and tasty. They have 4 choices for their... More

We have eaten here every time we come to Merida. So at least several times now in a few years. I see a pattern with this local eatery. The food is fair, some meals better than others, but often they are not very hot. I ordered a pollo chipoltle dish, but is seriously tasted more like chinese food. It was... More

Food is average level, the bill is low, the real problem is that the left saloon is near the bathrooms and they are OPEN, spreading their "eau de toilette" around... not the best when you are trying to eat!

We stopped in here for a quick bite, refreshing fresh fruit/vege juices, good variety on the menu, the pastor pizza was delicious.

Had the vegetarian burrito and the cheese pizza. Both were a bit heavy on the melted cheese, which was not great cheese but not bad either. My kids were happy with the pizza. Food is fine, especially for the price - very cheap, especially considering its amazing location right by the main plaza.

We just ate at El Trapiche, we had pollo a la yucateca and the food was very good as well as the price 75 pesos. The problem is when we got our bill. The bill was stamped propina no incluida (tip not included). BUT when I calculated to verify if the numbers add up , I realised it did not... More

When I read some reviews about this restaurant regarding their "Pizza" not being up to the standard of the reviewer, I am appalled as I am appalled too when I read that it is compared to another restaurant with mostly italian cuisine and standing in a very different category! This is not a restaurant for pizza and this is not... More
