The good was super tasty and good value. The staff were friendly and answered our questions about the Mexican cuisine. Word of warning: try to avoid using the loos!

Cheap food if you order the "meal of the day" 55 pesos for soup, snacks, main course and a drink. A series of selections are written on a white board by the street. The menu choices include local specialities. We ate here a couple of times and were pleased with the food. Its a busy place with lots of local... More

I have been eating at Trapiche three times a week for years. I always choose one of four or five lunch specials. It's hearty yucatecan food - Occasionally their food is a little bland, but overall they deliver a good meal at a very reasonable price - $50 pesos for a soup, main course and a drink. So it's good... More

First restaurant in Merida after touring Mexico for 1 week. Ate with my partner & daughter. The food was average, something I would rely upon when hungry but not rave to family and friends about.

My girlfriend and I ate the burritos here yesterday. I had the pork which was delicious, however my girlfriends vegetarian burrito was quite bland and dull. Still, it's a decent atmosphere and the prices were reasonable as was the service so I found it a good place to eat.

My title says it all. We got chicken mole (which was good), quesadillas (good) and rice with platanos (also solid). Overall this place has not much atmosphere but the service and food were very good, while price was great. Don't come here for a romantic dinner, but come if you want a solid, yummy, affordable meal!

el trapiche is a hole in the wall kind of place, budget minded, local food, no real ambiance, waiters aer there to take your order and bring your order, questionable sanitation, DO NOT use the restrooms. Other than that you can get a good solid meal at a very reasonable price, the juices they mix are fabulous. Local tip -... More

Very convenient plato del dia for 50 pesos incl. soup, meal, and juice (try agua de chaya). Daily menu ends by 3:30 but you can even pay for it one day in advance so that they keep your meal until 6 or 7 p.m.

I think I must have eaten here 5 times in the past 10 days..It's very comfortable and convenient to where I am staying. I had the fruit salad with yogurt and granola twice and it was delicious. I also had a very good Cesar Salad, and the Poc Chuc was very tender and tasty. They have 4 choices for their... More

We have eaten here every time we come to Merida. So at least several times now in a few years. I see a pattern with this local eatery. The food is fair, some meals better than others, but often they are not very hot. I ordered a pollo chipoltle dish, but is seriously tasted more like chinese food. It was... More
