Good food, cheap, central

A deservedly popular dining option with local specialities and pizzas on the menu. As it was our first night in the Yucatan we chose the sampling menu which was more than enough for two people and reasonably priced at roughly 250 pesos. It's the kind of place that has a TV going the whole time so... read more

As a tourist with limited espanol in Merida, this place was great. The waitress was very friendly and despite our attempts at Spanish she spoke great English and recommended a good light beer (xx lager in case anyone is wondering!). I had the quesadillas and it was a very cheesy and delicious portion. Would definitely visit again!

Real deal Yucatecan food - I had pescado al mojo de ajo which was just great with steamed vegetables and rice. Tawie had fajitas de pollo (as usual) and found them delightful. Simple. We took flan to go to enjoy at the hotel.

If you are walking around centro and want A FRESH HOMEMADE MEAL, this is the place to go, as most of the other choices around the central plaza area are recycled, they serve recycled food and I had bad experiences with the other restaurants around, but this one is the best choice in centro, great prices, fresh food!! and also... Right off main plaza, serves tasty Mexican and Yucatecan dishes, fresh juices and reasonably priced cocktails (try the pina colada). In my opinion, they make the best soap de lima in town. Another favorite are the chicken enchiladas with cheese and green salsa. They serve authentic tacos al pastor. It is not modern, but very clean. The food is made... More

We were in Merida for 6 days and I think we ended up eating here about 10 times. It's a really affordable place to eat with good quality food and fair sized portions. The pizzas are huge and we shared a big one that was more than enough food and cost just 100MXN! A really great price for this area... More

Food is good and quantità is huge. Staff is very nice and the place is fill up with locals, feeling very typical but yet being also touristic. The bad part is you are almost on the road in a quite busy street, so there will be noise and there might be some smog if you are unlucky with the wind... More

Traditional local food without the tourist setting (like Chaya Maya). Close to main square. No aircon. Definitely worth the price. Good drinks too.
