I regret wasting a meal in Merida in this place but lacking options one night late and with a finnicky eater I braved Pancho's. Thankfully they didn't have someone playing guitar because that would have solidified the horrible TGIF via Mexico City atmosphere the place has. It's very overpriced (1 of 2 $500 peso meals in a week in Mexico,... more

We have eaten at Panchos on two separate occasions. The first it was raining hard, and we dived in and said "This'll do." It is the sort of place I would normally walk past. However, once you get past the truly awful costumes, the place is attractive, the outdoor dining (when not raining) is lovely and the food is delicious... more

I'm not quite sure what to write on this review. We had a really great time at Panchos and were thrilled with the service and our food. However, my chicken was raw in one part. When I pointed it out, they immediately offered to cook it some more, but I had already identified that it was just one side of... more

I had just four nights in Merida and I regretted that I spent one of my dinner opportunities at Pancho's. This looks like a really cute Mexican-themed restaurant in a mall in Cleveland. The waiters wear large sombreros, big bandoliers crisscrossing their chests and linen campesino outfits with Pancho's advertising on the back. I didn't see any non-tourists dining there.... more

While the waiters outfits are definitely touristy they add to the fun atmosphere of the place. Prices may be higher than other places but I think they are worth it. We have been a couple of times and have always been pleased with the food and drinks. We took our daughter who was visiting from Canada this time and she... more

I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. The food is creative, fresh and delicious and the atmosphere is beautiful - sit in the far back of the restaurant where you can dine under the starts. However, the waiters wear these humiliating costumes and on one of 2 occassions, they overcharged me by almost 50% on my meal. This left me... more

So, I'll keep this quick. Quite simply the outfits are absurd. The whole place smacks of a tourist trap, but we stumbled across this restaurant one night hungry, and tied from our days walk, and found ourselves completely surprised to find that they have a wide variety of good tequilas, great margaritas, and actually really good food. The patio out... more

The lovely patio, the nice music, the good service make this a really nice place to sit and relax and enjoy. The food is very Mexican and really quite good. A few things are outstanding. There is a lot of showmanship going on with table side flamed dishes. The prices are high for Merida. more

We enjoyed the margaritas and regional dishes. They have a great patio in the back. The waiter's Pancho Villa costumes are a little cheesy and you will pay tourist prices but I would still reccomend. more
