It's as good as most people say

At first sight, when you're standing on the street looking in, you might think it's an ordinary eating place. But go in and make sure you go through to the open area at the back (past the little dance floor) and you'll be excited. Because it's exciting. (Of course it's also touristy - even if it... read more

We were recommended to Pancho's after checking into to our near by hotel. Although it doesn't look like any thing special from the outside, looks can be deceiving! The inside brings you on an adorable transformation to a Mexican colonial villa. We were seated outside, which, having been in the summer time, may have been a mistake as the heat... More

Atmosphere, and food and drink of course. Higher prices, but just likeable and friendly and beautiful interior.

We lucked into this restaurant while walking around downtown Merida. The interior is reminiscent of what a colonial home would look like. There is a old horse drawn carriage displayed in the dining room. Old pictures are displayed everywhere. There are three outdoor dining areas as well. We ordered the guacamole created at our table. What a pleasant experience. It... More

Lots of interesting historic pictures. The mood is definitely touristy but the upstairs patio is lovely.

We had a great time at this establishment. Was recommended to us by our concierge and after walking around the town and square we bee-lined for Pancho's. The frontage is nothing to shout. The front portion of the restaurant is like any other Mexican restaurant but when you head towards the rear of the premises the patio is like a... More

Pancho's is always a joy for us. Yes, it's a little "touristy", but it's also one of our favorite restaurants and to us the most charming one in the center of Merida. We've been going there since the 1990's. It hasn't changed much, even some of the same servers are still there (a good sign). Most of the tables are... More

Pancho's is in downtown Merida where most of the tourists are, but they have a great and affordable prix fixe menu, with 4 selections as I recall, as well as a la carte dishes. The wait staff is very friendly and engaging. The service and food are excellent.

Enjoyed the table-side guac and varying entrees from the menu. Service was attentive, food was very tasty. They just need to learn that music isn't best loud during the dinner period and that visitors might want to hear local music versus Taylor Swift and Maroon 5!
