visited 11th Feb 2015. Warm friendly welcome, drinks served quickly, decent menu........then things go downhill. Poor quality food, vastly overpriced, 20% tip added to bill, which I had removed. So if you want poor quality & a high price this is the place for you. Also not a local in sight, just a bunch of tourists, so a poor experience... More

We went to a charity function with a planned meal so won't comment on the food. However the drinks is another issue. While waiting for friends we ordered cocktails which were rather pricey. When we entered the private space we ordered more cocktails and the price was increased 30%! The manager did nothing Not a place we would return to... More

The host of our B&B has recommended this place. It was only a 15 mins walk away. The Margaritas were very good and the lime soup was OK. We took chicken fajitas which tasted very well, but by surprise, we both became ill that night. Just a coincedence? The service was OK and I can imagine that this place attracts... More

Wish I was more hungry the night I had visited! Was lucky to get a table as it was pretty full the night I went. I had the Mayan Lime soup and a cocktail, they were both excellent and the soup was pretty filling as soup goes. I paid about MXP 105 (about £5). The restaurant is just off the... More

First let me say that we only went to the one on Paseo and it was excellent! We went 3 times during our stay and each time was great. The buffet was both fresh and plentiful. The main meat items were made to order as well as the fried items. We found the place both delicious and a great value.

The wait staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is Not Mayan, but is Tex/max, Mexican and Yucatecan. It is grilled to perfection and very flavorful. The weekend buffet is without a doubt the best in Yucatan. We have dined in about 30 restaurants in Merida and this hands down the BEST.

I have eaten at the Paseo Montejo location a number of times during my summer vacations to Merida and the food is always fresh and tasty. They have a friendly outdoor patio that is often full during the summer nights.

We were on a city tour of Merida and the tour guide recommended this place. As others have said it is a tourist trap, and caters largely for non-local customers. That said, it is conveniently located in the city centre and serves tasty inexpensive food and drink. The menu is extensive and caters for all tastes. If you are inclined... More

Unavoidable tourist trap for the Tour Operators here in Merida, this restaurant is only worth for its location in the city center. The "traditional" food is of the level of a fast food (and served cold...). But the worst are the waiters making everything for you to consume more with fake smiles and repetitive jokes. We ordered 2 glasses of... More
