Unavoidable tourist trap for the Tour Operators here in Merida, this restaurant is only worth for its location in the city center. The "traditional" food is of the level of a fast food (and served cold...). But the worst are the waiters making everything for you to consume more with fake smiles and repetitive jokes. We ordered 2 glasses of... More

While in Merida, don't miss the opportunity to try authentic Mayan cuisine. Everything is prepared fresh, including the tortillas, which are soft and warm and delicious. Everything we ordered was great: fish and chicken dishes, including fish cooked in a banana leaf. I particularly liked the turkey and lime soup! Service was great, and we managed despite the language gap.... More

This restaurant was recommended by a friend in Merida, and she was right. I had never had authentic Mayan food before, and it was a real treat. Everything here is prepared to order from fresh local ingredients. The fish was amazing, and a simple taco plate for a very reasonable price was a treat I will never forget. The servers... More

They have great food. Try buffet all you can eat. Traditional Mexican food, tacos, charro beans, meat cuts, everything is delicious. Prices are good. They open at 1 PM great for lunch or dinner.

It was a rainy day and I just wanted a nice lunch with friends. The waiter was super friendly and efficient and readily agreed to do a hot lemonade for my coughing friend Sue, with a shot of tequila on the side. Then I did it. Fatal mistake. I asked for the house specialty and was recommended a Molqueca of... More

After a few days in the Yucatan and a week in Oaxaca we were craving some, I know it sounds funny but, Mexican food. Oaxaca and Merida have incredible food but its so different from what we were use to in San Francisco which is more like Northern Mexican, Mexico City or Guadalajara. We asked and were sent here. It... More

Have been 3 times now- have done the buffet twice and it's been quite different each time but all the variety you can want. I have celiac so have found it tricky in Mexico to not eat without getting a bit ill but here I've always found lots to choose from that is fresh, well prepared and with enough variety... More
