Excellent value and fun time.

This is a standard in Merida and is very good value and fun. Great to go with a gang as you can have lots of laughter without bothering anyone. Good party times.

Had a working lunch here. Great little place, quiet to discuss business. Mend was very reasonable. They bring you free bocas (food) every time you order a beer or cocktail. A nice little area for the kids to play. Will eat here next time in town.

Go from 2 pm on (it's best for a late lunch). Live music, and try the Yucatan specialties. I loved the pescado en mojo de ajo.

I've never been to Eladio's in Merida but it's the best place to go in Progreso Playa. We love the beachside location, and relaxed atmosphere. The waiters are attentive, and keep the snacks coming as long as you nurse a cocktail. Eladio's is a favorite with tourists and locals alike, Mexicans and Norte Americanos.

The day we visited all the waiters were dressed as woman and the botanas were too numerous to mention. We will never forget this place. Music was wild and we had an enjoyable time with friends. It was our first visit.

We wandered into Eladio's our first afternoon in Progreso looking to sit at a table in the sand and gaze into the water while sipping a cerveza or two. When the staff brought plates and plates of snacks we were at first wondering how we were going to pay for it all with just a few pesos in our pockets.... More

Re-visited Eladio's after a 10 year absence, and found it to still be one of my favorites. Local "foodie" food critics may knock the place as being Yucatecan fast food, but I always enjoyed the variety of dishes and the 2X1 Dos Equis. Live music, good service...I ordered about everything on the menu, and all was tasty and affordable IMHO.... More

We made the long hike from Merida´s Historic Center to this bar in 114 degree heat one afternoon in June, thru a scary rundown neighborhood to discovery this place has no airconditioning, only a few wobbly old ceiling fans. Very expensive drinks, very aggressive wait staff. We didn´t enjoy it all, Trying to have a conversation over the loud music... More

I dont get it! After my dissapointment with the Eladios Calle 59 location and after so much talk about how famous this chain is, I thought I'd give this other location a try. Overprice beer makes up for the free and rather stale/reheated botanas? Maybe I was there too late in the day for the good botanas? Wait staff very... More

The key here is to order drinks, and they give you (as in free) snacks as long as you are drinking, and there are not low quality snacks, but tasty with real yucatan flavor. Also they have musical groups who make some jokes (spanish is required to enjoy) and play caribbean music like salsa and cumbia. Service is good, al... More
