We visited Isla from July 22-August 6 and the restaurant had closed at that time. Hopefully they will open again. But the owner had closed the restaurant.

The pineapple cilantro margarita is a must. So refreshing and not too sweet like most margs. Atmosphere here was great. . Service very friendly and enthusiastic! Will definitely be back here for a marg when we return to Isla tomorrow!

Our first time here and wont be our last. I don't remember much because of 2 for 1 drinks and apps. We will try again in a few weeks!

This restaurant was good and the service was excellent. I believe the people on this island could really show the restaurants in the US what service is all, about.

I found it overly expensive and the fish that I had - a Veracruz garoupa - was overly fishy in taste and even the salad tasted of brine. Fortunately, my husband's tuna, which was the catch of the day, was fresh, but the bill came up to 450 pesos with tip. Go next door instead to recently opened Bahama Mama,... More

Monchis was wonderful! The food was delicious. I had the chicken and pineapple fried rice. The owner was friendly and held a nice conversation with us. The restaurant is in a neighborhood and has that quaint feel. We also got tequila shots on the house...now that's great service!

These people are so nice and the food is awesome. I love their arrachara burritos. The drinks are fantastic as well. I woud reccommend the trip to mid island to enjoy their food.

We ate dinner at Monchis three times while on our trip. The food is out of this world and so is the staff. The food we had which was all amazing included: Nachos, Shrimp wrapped in bacon, the vera cruz fish, the chipotle fish, fish tacos, and the tuna steak. The drinks are great and everything is very moderately priced.... More
