We saw the little sign for this place and had to check it out. Great place to grab some apps and drinks with friends. Loved the vibe!

It took us a while to locate the beach bar as it is rather hidden off the main street. We went mainly because we were encouraged by all those glorious reviews. As we arrived it was just before 12 and we were actually requested to come back at 12 sharp as this is the opening time on a Sunday (so... More

Delicious hamburgers with a fun crowd--actually like that the drinks are served in styrofoam to avoid rapid melting in August. Sweet potato fries were also a hit with our group....quirky parking and like that they do one entree per night...to perfection! Sorry that we missed lobster taco this trip--have heard they are legendary (Mon nights).

This place is owned and operated by a couple from the Gun Barrel City, TX area. It has the neatest bar we went to on Isla. That's saying something consider the bars we visited. The first time, we had their daily special of "Crispy Tacos." They were great. I wished I had ordered a double. On Sunday afternoon, they serve... More

We never would have found this place or gone on our own if it weren't for some friends who told us about it. There is a sign on the road, but you don't see it from the street. It doesn't look like there is a restaurant anywhere, you litterally walk between two very close buildings, like going through a tiny... More

The Soggy Peso....The "it" place and we love it. We went twice during our 10 day vacation and had a fabulous time. First time was Fried Taco day (Fridays) and the second time was Cheese Burgers (Thursdays). Both dishes are so yummy. With the bar comes the two Iguanas who sit patiently near your chair waiting for some lettuce to... More

Fun bar, the kind of beach shack you see on any island, with license plates, hats from visitors hanging everywhere. Sits on bay. Great drinks, two is all you need!! Crowd is 20-60 year olds the two times we went. Everyone talks to each other.

Stopped in a couple of times, BBQ day, which was good, and Fajita day which was awesome! good atmosphere, get there early if you want to beat the crowd, keep your feet off the floor unless you don't mind the iguana's unless "Soggy Doggy" is on duty then he will take care of that! Say hi to Yo-Yo and Gus!

This bar gives you the whole experience! The atmosphere is laid back and inviting, staff extremely friendly! Different food specials daily make for a good reason to stop back! I absolutely recommend stopping at the Soggy Peso and feed the resident dragon a hibiscus flower!
