Our Favorite Place On Isla Mujeres

We try to stop for a drink at the Soggy Peso every day we are lucky enough to be on Isla Mujeres. We also choose to have at least 2-3 meals during our annual 10 day stay. My favorite special is wing Wednesday. My wife loves the lobster tacos. The best part of the Soggy Peso is the staff. Freddy,... read more

Go here is you are looking for a strong and tasty margaritas! Great service, friendly staff, will call and wait for your cab for you as you finish your drinks. We went on a Thursday and it was cheeseburger day, delicious!

This place has so much character...hats on ceiling from all over, lounge chairs on sand, simple dock where you can enjoy the passing boats, but the main attraction are the killer margaritas! They are served in 16 oz styrofoam cups and they are potent! They also have a dinner special each day...we went on Cheeseburger in paradise day and had... More

Great place for ribs. If you like to drink a lot, this is for you. The service is good and the atmosphere is very tropical.

The Soggy Peso is one of Isla Mujeres most popular destinations. It is a hangout for ex-pats and tourists. They have a special every day but by far the most popular is their ribs on Sunday when "they smoke the good stuff". Best and most potent margaritas on the island in our opinion, but watch out, they will definitely hit... More

Wow the margaritas are killer and so is the food. Can't wait to return for a few more... Make sure you have a designated driver for when you leave...

As always Soggy never disappoints. First time for my boyfriend to visit Isa. Soggy's was a must for him to see. The food is awesome from BBQ, hamburgers and fajita's but what makes this place special are the staff and the fun people that visit. Beware of the margarita's. My rule is only one. I broke the rule and had... More

This place is awesome. I read about it on this site and thought it sounded fun. It is definitely a place easily passed by if your not looking for it. As we were walking in from parking lot we were thinking what are we getting ourselves into. Trust me it is worth visiting. We met a few locals that go... More

One day it was a bit rainy so a gang of us who had met while visiting at our resort's pool the day before hopped into our golf carts to enjoy lunch and drinks at The Soggy Peso. It's basically a hole-in-the-wall type of establishment behind a building. The thatched roof area covers the bar and some umbrella tables are... More

OMG, so I've been coming to Isla for quite a few years and never stopped in Soggy Peso. Biased believing it's American, which it is, and that I wasn't going to enjoy it but I was proven wrong. We all went on "Burger night" they were very good & and hit the spot but what really blew me away were... More
