This is essentially a restaurant inside of a house. The servers and presumably family were watching a soap opera on tv. There were clothes hanging to dry.... More

If you are anywhere near La Gloria - the town down near the turtle farm - you must eat at La Bruja ("The Witch"). The couple who run it are very friendly and the food is simply marvelous. We had scrumptious shrimp tacos and lobster, and incredible sopa de limon (lime soup with chicken - is hearty enough for a... More

When we visit Isla one of our first stops is LaBruja. Real Mexico, great food & delightful hosts. Like eating with family. There's a reason so many locals eat here

This little family run restaurant is one of the most delicious places to eat. When we arrived - we were trying to spot the place and the owner came out and waved us down - he remembered us from last year and just knew we were looking for him! How fun!!

We got into a taxi and asked the cab driver "Where do you eat?" He responded, "I always eat at La Bruja". So he took... More

This small family restaurant is well worth the trip to mid-island. The seafood soup was fantastic, the drinks well made and the owner had tremendous personality. The entire family voted it our top meal on Isla.

This is one of our regular spots each trip. I had the arrachera fajitas - had lots of flavour, reasonable and not a huge portion. My father in law had the club sandwich and he isn't a big eater but ate all of it and said it was quite tasty. Always a reasonably priced, enjoyable meal. Not a lot of... More
