Not only was the food just mediocre, which is saying something on an island with many great choices of restaurants, but the service was really bad. We both had pizzas, the Maialinda and the Isla. Had to ask three times for drink refills. Restaurant wasn't even busy, but the servers just weren't paying any attention. Food was okay, but just... More

Mamma Rosa is a staple for at least one visit per trip. We were, again, very happy with our visit. The husbands each had a pasta dish, declared excellent and we split the risotto primavera which was absolutely wonderful! A must go to if you love Italian food and are on Isla. You will not be disappointed....

Last night on Isla and this was our stop. Food was decent, priced well and the service was good. The down side was when we went to pay, they ran our debit card 3X and because of that, it froze the card from working! We almost got stranded there with no other options to pay (the island ATM's are sketchy,... More

The pizza size was more than enough for one. Very large menu to choose from. Nice seating area on the street. Very good value.Very good brick oven... More

Ate at Mamma Rosa for our evening meal on two occasions this past week. Had pasta one evening and pizza at the next visit. Both were really delicious. There were nine in our party and everyone was very pleased with their order.

It's a really nice looking place but for me it was just kind of a blah experience. I had a pretty tasteless pasta dish. I don't think I'd revisit.

We should have ordered pizza. We had calamari fritto which tasted fresh but came with no sauce; I orderedthe breaded meat cutlet and it was so overdone that I had to ask for a steak knife and could not cut it with a steak knife; my sister ordered garlic shrimp and the shrimp was not fresh and she kept having... Stopped in for a pizza and a salad right on the corner of Hidalgo street. Pizza was good. We would definitely go back.
