Great early morning breakfast. Authentic local feel; casual inside or outside dining; top quality at fair price.

We both had crepes for breakfast and were very pleased with them. Others had toast and bacon and boy did they get bacon. Others had breakfast skillets and couldn't eat them all. Eat outside because the kitchen is on top of the seats inside and the heat from the cooking will swelter you. The coffee and drinks are good too.... More

After drooling over the pic's people had posted of the food, I had to check out La Cazuela M&J. It is a quiet little restaurant, a couple blocks off the main tourist strip of Hidalgo. I went with my wife and my parents and everyone thoroughly enjoyed what they had. The server and cook were very friendly, as well. We'll... More

There are so many places to eat on Isla Mujeres but this is one of our favorite breakfast locations. It is incredible how quick the food comes out of a very little kitchen and best of all....the food is great.

I must have a cazuela at least once, every trip. This is a great little place, has been on the island for years (in different locations), and has always stayed consistent. Make sure you stop here for breakfast when visiting the island.

We visited this restaurant after reading the reviews on TA and thought we were in for a treat. We ordered the cazuela rancheros and Isla Mujeras.net said it was a cross between an omelette and a soufflé. All it was, was a tortilla with refried beans ham sauce cheese onions tomatoes with two hard fried eggs on top. Don't get... More

Everything we ordered, from the "cazuelas" eggs to your more traditional menu items, was outstanding. Cute reprieve for non smokers as the restaurant and patio are non smoking (rare in Mexico).

This was a quaint little restaurant on Guerrero Avenue (one block east of Hidalgo) that serves the most delicious cazuelas...an egg dish that resembles an omelet/souffle' that's served on a hot ceramic plate. I had the Mexican Cazuela that had red peppers, onions, and gouda cheese. FABULOUS! Fresh-squeezed lemonade that was just right...not too sugary or too tart. Good coffee... More
