M&J is a charming place. The food is mouthwatering delicious. We had Nutella/banana crepes with fruit for 85 pesos and a mixed meat Cazuela (sort of an omelette/soufflé served in an earthenware bowl sizzling hot) with fruit and tortillas for 85 pesos. Of course we had to go back a second time. The crepes were so paper thin it was... More

We love LaCazuela M&J..it is one of our favorite meals each trip! My husband favors the Cazuela's, but since I don't eat eggs I usually prefer a quesadilla or torta.Don't miss the potato casserole, even if you must order it as a side - it is delicious every time! Ensalada de fruta is generous and always fresh and tasty. We... More

Very relaxed (if a bit slow) breakfast option. The cazuelas are something different to try. Was very tasty but make sure you let it cool a bit first. The free coffee refills are a good touch (I had about four cups). Good solid value.

Sometimes you want a unique experience from an eatery. Something to use as a hook. Not so here. Above average, yes. Coffee refills? Yes, which is unusual for Riviera Maya. Prepare a special request? No problem. Clean, efficient, bright, airy and relaxed. Very good prices and well plated meals. You won't be disappointed and you will be well fed and... More

We had our final breakfast on Isla at La Cazuela and both had cazuelas. The food was good and reasonably priced. We were impressed with the variety on the menu and if we'd stayed on Isla longer would have gone back. The service was very slow, although perfectly nice, so this might not be a "quick stop" choice.

We stumbled upon this place on our first morning on Isla when looking for a breakfast place. Good and prompt service, interesting dishes, and a reasonable price. Highly recommend.

Stopped here for breakfast on our day trip to Isla. Tried the Contoy and Isla Mujeres cazuelas. Both excellent--full of rich, bubbly cheese, shrimp, and tomatoes. Absolutely wonderful. Service was a little slow and not terribly responsive, but mostly friendly. Coffee was pretty decent too, compared to other places we stopped. Overall highly recommended.

La Cazuela is great place for a hearty breakfast. Beware...your cazuela arrives at the table piping hot! It's worth the wait once it's cooled. Be prepared. I had a print out from their web-site with the hours and days and turns out that they weren't open. Don't know why, but they were open the following day.

We went and had a cazuela each and where amassed it was excellent the flavors where amazing and complex with the cheese and egg and other the other ingredients. A good selection of choices on the menu, this restaurant can be very busy at certain times but worth the wait
