Fantastic crepes and food. Great atmosphere, relaxed and friendly. Really tasty vegetarian dishes. It is shut on Mondays.

And it starts, and stops, with the charming and lovely owner Patricia. Her smile alone is reason to come here...but, truth be told, I - and countless others - come for any number of fabulous choices including, of course, THE MOST OUTRAGEOUSLY DELICIOUS CREPES (like the chocolate crepe I'm eating now while writing this) and incredible coffees (like the tall... We loved, loved, loved Cafe Hildago and it is definitely the best place for a yummy and inexpensive meal on the Isla! Patricia and the staff were always friendly and kind to our family. The food is very, very good, inexpensive and super heathy (well maybe not the nutella). We went several times over the course of 20 days and I... More

Nutella and banana crepes were delicious as we're the juices! Free wifi also. Relaxed vibe, friendly staff always with a smile!

One of the only places you can get a cold cut sandwich she makes, all the bread in house. And must have a connection to get her veggies, they are amazing. And the crepes are just a nice extra cause they are the best on the island as well.

This is our 5th time back to Cafe Hidalgo and the first time I have actually written a review. This place is amazing. The owner is such a hard worker and also very welcoming. The nutella and banana crepe is to die for, I can only imagine the other crepes are similar. My husband had a turkey, cheese and mushroom... More

It's not bad' but there are better breakfast places in town. Love their crepes though. Good service, space is kind of small and it can get a bit cramped if they are busy

We have been to Isla a few times, and Cafe Hidalgo has become our favorite breakfast place...usually spending a couple hours reading the newspaper, playing games, and starting our day off right! Best breakfast crepes, frozen coffee, and homemade quiche. The owner is a lovely woman who prepares all the food with love. The presentation is always gorgeous. Try it,... More

If you travel through Mexico and Central America, you might be familiar with the restaurants and cafes that serve Nescafe stirred into hot water with your breakfast. THIS IS NOT THAT. For 28 pesos, you get your own fresh brewed espresso served in a mini percelator, and optional steamed milk and hot water if you would like it. Also, all... More
