This is our 5th time back to Cafe Hidalgo and the first time I have actually written a review. This place is amazing. The owner is such a hard worker and also very welcoming. The nutella and banana crepe is to die for, I can only imagine the other crepes are similar. My husband had a turkey, cheese and mushroom... More

It's not bad' but there are better breakfast places in town. Love their crepes though. Good service, space is kind of small and it can get a bit cramped if they are busy

We have been to Isla a few times, and Cafe Hidalgo has become our favorite breakfast place...usually spending a couple hours reading the newspaper, playing games, and starting our day off right! Best breakfast crepes, frozen coffee, and homemade quiche. The owner is a lovely woman who prepares all the food with love. The presentation is always gorgeous. Try it,... More

If you travel through Mexico and Central America, you might be familiar with the restaurants and cafes that serve Nescafe stirred into hot water with your breakfast. THIS IS NOT THAT. For 28 pesos, you get your own fresh brewed espresso served in a mini percelator, and optional steamed milk and hot water if you would like it. Also, all... More

I am taking away one star for the level of service at Cafe Hildalgo. I understand that everything is slower on the island and nothing is rushed. I get that. I have no trouble waiting for my food when I know it is being prepared to order. They need more staff here. If the place is busy it will take... More

A friend and I visited Cancun for the first time in May 2014 and took a day trip to Isla Mujeres. We happened to pass by Cafe Hidalgo and liked the quirky look (it is a small cafe that is always busy with tourists and locals alike, and there is even a small "library" section). I had the fresh tomato,... More

Me and wife ate there yesterday and was very good. Large and tasty creps, very responsive service, and jn reasonable price.

We stopped in Cafe Hidalgo for breakfast one Wednesday morning and boy do they need some more workers. We have always enjoyed our food at this place on previous visits, however, I felt so bad for the two people working there. The place was packed and they were trying to accommodate everyone, but there was not enough of them to... More

Very nice and friendly place. Exellent service and atmosphere but above all are the crepes!!! I ate one with zucchini for main course and one with lemon cream for desert (don't judge me!). My girlfriend ate the banana chocolate crepe. All were sooo good! Strongly recommend on eating here at least once.
