I was so disapointed after looking forward to a great meal. The waiter barely said hello and when I asked if he was Fredy, all he said was, "I wish." I had a delicious pork chop with 3 new potatoes and some very sad brown broccoli. Hubby ha a beef brochettes which he said was okay. Only one other couple... More

We recently dined at Fredy's, one of our favorite restaurants on Isla Mujeres. Once again, we were not disappointed! Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. Fredy is a master when it comes to pork chops, which is always my choice. The fish and shrimp are always fresh, and delicious as well. We have never had a bad meal here.... More

Got to Isla on Friday, February 27th. Got settled in and headed out for dinner. We had been to Fredy's 2 years before and our stomachs were craving a "Fredy's Porkchop". We got to Fredy's and waited about 10 minutes before being greeted. We all ordered drinks and dinner. We waited for 45 minutes(Time would not have been an issue... More

We have been traveling to Isla Mujeres for 23 years, and this year was our first visit to Fredy's! We can remember walking past Fredy's 23 years ago when the street was dirt and it was the last place on Hidalgo. It always looked fun with many customers, but we just walked on by. This year we went to Fredy's... More

My husband had the pork chop and it was dry. I had oven baked shrimp and it tasted like French onion soup. I'm pretty sure that is Fredy's so called "secret recipe." There are so many options on the island and Fredy's is just okay food. Other reviews mentioned the service from Fredy was great. He must of been grumpy... More

We loved this restaurant - the food was terrific and what I love most is that Freddy himself runs the show. He seats you, takes your order and his wife cooks it up - and when they are done - they close up for the night. His attitude is sortof take it or leave it - not trying to impress... More

I had the white wine grouper -- at first it didn't look like enough food but I was pleasantly surprised and full at the end! The piña colada was excellent. People in my group also had the pork chops and said best pork chops they have ever had

After seeing Fredy' s on a previous visit, we decided to make this a stop on this trip. The tortilla soup was everything I wanted. The pork chop was very flavorful but a little dry. I think I'll ask it to be cooked medium next time. My friend ordered the baked shrimp, much to our delight! There weren't many shrimp... More
