I had dinner at Fredy's. I ordered the very well regarded pork chop. it wasn't to my taste but another table ordered it and devoured it happily :)

One of the first places on main street from the north end of the island. Good food and cheap. Freddy will give you good service too.

I've heard "Try the pork chop!" so many times I can't count. Luckily, I met a great group of people who asked me to join them and all offered tastes of their entrees. So I got to try the pork chop, garlic shrimp, and another shrimp dinner. All were equally amazing! But, since I had been craving that pork chop,... More

On Hildago near the north end, almost passed it by but several time patrons told us we would be sorry if we did not stop and eat so we finally did. Pretty good advertising. Wife had the baked shrimp and loved it I had the Chop, huge and awesome flavor. Owner is a character, at first you think he hates... More

We ate here to start our night on Hidalgo last week. I got the shrimp and they were delicious. My mom got the pork chop that he's known for and the whole table tried and loved it. Fredy is a funny guy who instilled humor into our great dining experience.

This restaurant had awkward hours and I could never tell when it would be open. This could have been due to it being the off season. But the one time we found it open, I had the best meal on the island. DELICIOUS!

I was told the pork chops were the best on the island by at least three people who live here. Wow, those pork chops are amazing! They are HUGE though and I could only get through half of one! The dinner came with baked potato and spinach which was also delish. I went back two nights later with a friend... More

We would never dream of visiting Isla Mujeres without eating at Fredy's, and usually choose it for our first dinner on the island. As tempted as I am by his other menu offerings, I can never resist the pork chop, which is tender, juicy and full of freshly grilled flavor. My wife tried the arrachera this time, and pronounced it... More
