Great pizza!

We ate here our last night--the kids were ready for some pizza. It was fantastic! And that special sauce they bring to the table--amazing. What is it???

We had heard that Angelo's pizza is amazing, and it definitely lived up to its reputation. The pizza is baked in a wood-burning oven so it comes out hot and crispy. There was plenty of cheese and pepperoni. The flavor was excellent. We also ordered spaghetti and meatballs. The pasta was cooked perfectly; slightly al dente. The sauce had good... More

Fresh Fish (my choice was the snapper) is not the only thing perfectly done in an authentic wood fired oven. The pizza (margarita) was thin and extra crispy just as I requested. The fresh tomatoes & basil taste like they were just picked from the garden. If you're in the mood for greens--go ahead and have a salad. It's all... More

Our two boys (teen and pre-teen) enjoyed choosing their favorites: lasagna for one, rib-eye steak for the other. It was New Year's Eve, so the people walking along Hidalgo and the traveling minstrels made for an interesting time. On a lark we ordered the only dessert offered - tiramisu - looked more like creme brulee, but how tasty! Worth a... More

Four of us went to dinner here and had a great experience...I had Sarda pasta..prosciutto, Italian sausage, mushrooms and pomadoro sauce and it was very good. My hubbie had a whole red snapper with local vegetables...it was melt in your mouth...he finally let me try some...usually he would bite my hand...it was better than my dish, and I loved it.... We try to eat here at least once a trip, and last night was no exception to the awesome food and service we normally get. Try the surf and turf, it was amazing!

Was in Isla for a week for a wedding in Nov, went with a big group twice to Angelos, on the main drag in town. Great tables outside and in. Good service and the grouper was awesoome both times. Moist and delicious. Prices are great and a fun time. lg

Walking down Hidalgo, and not particularly hungry, we ran into Marianna from Angelo. We were so happy to see her. We then sat down and had the best dinner yet at Angelo. Caipirinhas and, the salumi mixto. Then, pizza de isla mujeres with shrimp, mussels, and scallops. Friend, you can't go wrong!

I ate here several different times during my time on Isla, and I was always very happy with the service and the food. I loved the grilled veggies, grilled seafood and the amazing pizzas. Not at all greasy, perfectly melty creamy cheese. Great wines and delicious drinks. Mariana is always there with a friendly smile and hug, and the bar... More

Do yourself a favor and avoid this place . We had sangria to drink - it had no fruits in it ! We also had Pizza which was oily and with no taste . The grilled veggies we had were burnt and tasted like ash . In short : really bad food .
