We were advised they serve the best Margarita on the Island

Whilst on Holiday at the Excellence in Playa Mujeres we took a trip over on the ferry to Isla Mujeres a very beautiful Island indeed! We stopped at The Joint after snorkeling one afternoon at the end of June. The drinks were fairly priced and quite large. We had the guacamole and fried plantains - the latter was delicious! The atmosphere was chill almost to the point of indifference. This is not the place for quick anything - strictly island time! I'm giving The Joint... More

Watered down drinks, overpriced menu and crappy service were only the beginning of our experience at this place. There were 5 in our group and two of them got sick after eating here. Avoid the ceviche as it is not fresh, Joint's jerk chicken was a joke. No breeze and terrible view are another Eason to skip it.

To be honest, I have no idea how we found this place. But from the second we got there until we stumbled out, it was the best time we had on the island. It's really not even a building, just a patio with a bar. The bar tender spoke very broken English, but that was not at all a problem.... More

Seriously why do people complain about everything. If you want everything on your time and in a "NY minute," then stay the f*** home. You're on vacation. Loosen up have a cold beer, mojito, margarita or a fresh lemonade if you want to go alcohol free. The food goes along with what you would expect on a tropical island....wings, burgers,... More

Love the 50 peso breakfast, but do wish it was just a little bit bigger, but it was mostly a satisfying meal. They do have music going but don't sit to close to the speakers or you can't talk across the table. Great meal for a great price

Didn't eat here, but this is a great little spot to park the golf cart while exploring the island and snagging a few cold beers and frozen concoctions for the road ahead! With teens in tow, we're were ready for a drink after flying through the much more crowded downtown area. The Joint was a welcome respite with its ice-cold... More

We stopped in for the jerk chicken and spicy peanut chicken skeweres, both were very good. Seasoned well and grilled perfectly. We also ordred the fried plantains, they were greasy. The server was friendly and efficient.

We visited the bar while exploring the island. We tried the mojitos and piña coladas and I have to say they are the best on the island. El Patio is the sister restaurant but I like the drinks better at The Joint.

No polite people here. The owner was unfriendly and the drinks were not that good. The atmosphere is aesthetically pleasing but it is all taken away by the rudeness of the staff.
