It was just as expected our second time round. It's an outdoor eatery that doesn't pretend to be upscale. It's beer and fresh fish tacos, plus the ever playful pup, Marley. The tunes are....wait for it....BOB MARLEY. There's also a live band later in the day, which was just setting up as we were ready to leave, unfortunately. It's one... More

First everyone seemed to be having a good time, enjoying a really good reggae band called the "Ganganistas (sp)". They were very good. The small outdoor place was packed and everyone looked pretty "well lit" by 2:pm on a Sunday afternoon. They all looked like they had been there for a while. Which it's vacation, it's an island... no judgement.... More

I am giving this place 4 stars because my husband loved it. But it wasn't for me. Bring a bug repellent if bugs love you. I saw about 20 Mosquitos hovering around a guys' feet sitting next to me. They do have a bug spray on the table but it is no joke. We had guac with four beers for... More

Stopped here for a snack and drink on our " golf cart tour". Fun place, great music and a very friendly dog. The mango mojito was delicious as were the fish tacos. Only disappointment is that they were out of most beers and didn't have the guacamole special.

Living in La Gloria my husband and friends have been there many times over the past few years. Number one the owner Penny makes you feel like a long lost friend. Number Two the BALCKBERRY MARGARITA'S ARE OUTSTANDING also always good entertainment and a wonerful staff. Don't miss it worth the trip to the south end

We have driven by here many times so we decided...what the heck, lets eat here. It sits up on a rocky hill, and looks like you are at Bob Marleys' home in Nine Mile Jamaica...fun place...there are only a few large tables, not so clean, but the decor makes up for it. We ordered their specialty drink..mango mojitos for $8.... More

We walked up from Punta Sur on an explore, and heard the strains of a live band playing Pink Floyd's "Wish you were Here". We stopped in for some Margaritas, which were very big, and very potent. Warning, at one point it got a bit buggy from mosquitoes, but fortunately they have provided bug spray on the tables.

We have been to this location a few times on our past trips and have found it to be good, so I was happy that it now had a Jamaican theme. I suggested we go there on our golf cart day. The guac and 4 beer special for 100 pesos is 'tap' beer, we declined, no big deal, we just... More

What a great place to stop and have breakfast, their famous 50 peso breakfast is always great and filling early in the morning. Add a few chilled habanero tequila shots and your off to a good morning start.

We recently had a gathering at The Joint of about 12 folks from our condo and the owner and staff really did a nice job of providing us with good food and cold drinks. Live music on some days but on Saturday for our party they had nice reggae in the background so it was easy to socialize and have... More
