We were there the first evening they were open for dinner and loved our meal-it was so good we were back the next day for breakfast! We were very pleased it is well worth the short cab ride from downtown. Very nice owners too, we enjoyed talking with them. more

We will eat here more next time. The food was amazing, the atmosphere pleasant and the service the best. We loved talking to this lady about the island and different things to do. She was so full of information and nice! This was our favorite on the island. more

Hey...we had such a fun time in Nov/Dec having wonderful breakfasts, and even supplying a critique for the newly created 'Eggs Benedict' offering, but also enjoying the fluffy French toast, and the Scramble...all prepared with lots of love and creativity. My 1st time visitors from Texas just wanted to keep coming back, and found it their favorite, mostly easy, friendly place... more

I read about Mango Cafe, and my friend and I rented bikes and rode to the Mango Cafe in the center of Isla to find them closed! OHHH NOOOOO! But, Laurie and Polo, the owners were there, awaiting some clients who had not shown up yet and were presently 30 min. late. She said, come on back in 15 min.... more

We have just returned from our trip and WOW what an extraodinary experience we had at the Mango Cafe. Our only complaint is that we did not find it early on, but at the latter part of stay. We ensured that our last breakfast on Isla was the amazing French toast....get there early as there is a limited supply !... more

Mango cafe is a gem. The food is wonderful - you can't go wrong with anything on this menu. I am still reliving the syrup on the pancakes and french toast which was so delicious that i finished every last drop with a spoon! We had breakfast and then had lunch catered to the house we were in:) On a... more

We have been to Isla Mujeres a number of times. We get up early every day and run around the island. This trip, we noticed a sign with an arrow that said Mango Cafe. A couple of blocks later we ran by the cafe and the people inside were calling out to us "Good Morning" "Come on in" "Good running"... more

What a find! I have been on Isla Mujeres many times and this trip we tried Mango Cafe and I am so glad we did. The food was awesome and original and you felt very comfortable right away. It was one of the best meals I have had on Isla. I love the endless ginger lemonade! It is a must... more

Mango Cafe was by far our favorite restaurant on Isla Mujeres; in fact, it would probably be one of our favorites at home in New York. We loved the self-serve coffee bar, the bottomless ginger lemonade, the empanadas (both breakfast and lunch - we had to visit twice during our trip), the jerk chicken quesadillas, and the french toast. The... more

The Mango Cafe is open again after renovations. It reopened on Friday the 13th of November and was worth the wait (week and a half). Lori and Polo are friendly and helpful in many ways, and they serve up some of the best food on the island. The west indian chicken tacos are served with a delicious peanut-coconut sauce that... more
