Nice setting with good food

After a long day of travel, we were recommended to come here as its close to where we are staying. It's a lovely, quiet site right on the beach. The food and drinks are flavorful and good but it's a little pricey. After we finished eating they told us the "Plastic" was broken. We didn't have... read more

Years ago this restaurant's Tikin Xic was fantastic, the setting was serene. Today the Tikin Xic is poor to mediocre. The portion was small, lacking in flavor and the price is too high for what you get. Service was indifferent. In fact they calculated the bill incorrectly and tried to include a high tip in the bill. This is never... More

Every time we travel to Riveria Maya, we always take a day to visit Isla Mujeres and always eat lunch at Playa Lancheros. We always get the specialty of the house, the fish prepared tikin xic style. It is sort of the Mayan version of barbecue. We get the single serving for $250 pesos and it is more than two... More

After a long day on the island, this pre-ferry stop for dinner was a wonderful choice. Normally I am about heading off the beaten path, but viewing what everyone else had, I couldn't wait to sink my teeth in to some fresh seafood. And it was so worth the anticipation! We ordered a table top grilled dish with octopus, lobster,... More

This place is beautiful. We had the house specialty tix n chic. It was so good. We also had mixed ceviche, guacamole and 2 buckets of beer. The total came to 869mp. It easily fed 4 of us.

we ate lunch here one day.. We had the shrimp tacos and coconut shrimp. Tacos were bland and the coconut shrimp and sauce were overly sweet. Service was average. Prices were high. Nice casual place on the beach. Got eaten by sand fleas or mosquitos. Not a bad experience but found better on the island

My meal was okay. I got shrimp tacos and well, they were my least favorite tacos on the whole island so far. The guac was good that came with them so that saved them and added some flavor. BUT the location is excellent. tables in the sand right on the dock. The service was pretty good even if the waiter... More

We had a lovely evening here. Watched a beautiful sunset and had the house special, smoked mackerel which was very tasty. The service was excellent and our server even brought our stray dog Lassie, who followed us from the villa, a drink of water when we asked. We had no problems with our bill, it was itemized and no tip... More

Although we arrived close to the 6pm closing time, we were warmly invited in for dinner. You have the option of dining at tables inside or set on the sandy beach. Insect repellent is provided on the tables on the beach - it's there for a reason! The guacamole, nachos, burritos, fish with garlic, and shrimp with garlic were hits... More

We rented a golf cart for the day, it was just after noon, and we were hungry. We drove past this place and I had remembered reading about their Tikixic. I'm so glad we stopped. Probably the best meal we had on Isla, and right on the beach. My wife and I shared the Tikixic and it could've fed at... More
