We were hot and tired and went to Jax because it was close. Turned out they had maybe the best service we had at any place on Isla. The burger and fries were really good. The night we were there, there was live music and it was outstanding. We sat upstairs on the outside patio where we people watched along... More

We ate lunch here and were really disappointed. The location is great, but the fair at best. It was bland and very basic. There are so many better options in the same area that have tasty local flavors. I would skip this one.

The great view and atmosphere continues. Had the Ahi Tuna and it was delish!!! You certainly can tell where the fishermen are. Mike always has such fresh fish. A winner again..

I stopped for a bite as I wanted to enjoy the ocean before I had to head back to reality. The view is beautiful in the morning and the choice of breakfast items was good. I choose the breakfast tacos and would had enjoyed more if the tortillas would have been fresh (like the rest of the island). The ice... More

We took our two college age boys- and we had an appetizer, and each got fish sticks or fish tacos… and had tons of food left over!!! Amazing meal- reasonable prices- with a great view!

Went here to watch the World Cup semi's. The drinks were strong, the food was good and the people were super friendly. Their upstairs seating area has an amazing view of the beach. The draw back is that it gets hot. Not enough air movement through the bar, so it gets stuffy and hot.

We ate here a couple of times. We liked the balcony with the view. No plastic chairs here! Good food! Good drinks! English speaking sports on the big screens. Country music playing. If you are looking for an authentic Mexican meal, look elsewhere. Nice time! We would go back again.

We never ate the food there, but had several visits for drinks as it was close to the hotel. The staff was very friendly, as were all the locals, but my problem is that the place advertises it's Texas roots and plays awful country music. They also set their own exchange rate at 10 pesos/1 dollar. You can just tell... More

Good food and good prices. I know you go to Isla to get authentic mexican food...and I know Jax is owned by an American. I get it. But we just love the place. The southwestern fajitas are some of the best fajitas I have ever had anywhere....give those a shot next time you are there. The ceviche is fantastic, and... More

We were recommended to eat at this place and we weren't disappointed. The fish tacos are amazing and the ceviche is outstanding. The portions are huge. Don't pay in US dollars though because they give you a very poor exchange rate. Go to the bank and take out pesos. You'll save money everywhere on the island.
