I'm still sitting here at Bally Hoo as I write this. I just finished devouring 3 grilled fish taco's. They were great, best I've had on the island in the last week. Hope to come back!

Really enjoyed our evening meals and drinks. Fish tacos, garlic fillet fish, beer and margarita came to 270 pesos. Service was really good and we enjoyed watching the fishermen bringing in their catch

We came to this dockside restaurant twice during our stay, after scuba diving. Ariel was friendly and chatty, and was quick to bring tequila and beer to quench our thirst. The guacamole, ceviche, and calamari were great! In the US, we're used to "salsa" with our chips. In the Cancun area, most places just serve pico de gallo, which is... More

Decided to go alone for a margarita and watch the sunset. Got a great table and originally I was not going to get anything to eat but Ariel mentioned how everything is fresh. I decided on calamari and it was the best I have ever had ever. Before sunset a better table opened and I was asked if I wanted... More

Dinner and drinks at sunset was absolutely sublime. The margaritas were amazing and the service excellent. I went for drinks the day before and my server recognized me when I came back for dinner with my sister. He acted as if we were old friends, so sweet. I had the garlic fish which was amazing. Great portions, very fresh. It's... More

We stopped in to try some of the margaritas we had heard about. We started with the traditional margaritas, and they were quite tasty! Great lime flavor and not just the sugar syrupy ones everyone else serves. Then we thought we'd ask about the larger margaritas we saw some other patrons drinking. The disappointment was we sat for quite a... More

We've been on Isla for less than a week and have eaten here twice already. The service is great - attentive but not pushy. I speak Spanish, but not everybody in our did, so they spoke to those gals in English. Everybody LOVED their food! The restaurant is located over the water, and was so relaxing because you can hear... More

It was hard to find a good margarita AND good ceviche in the same restaurant at a casual lunch spot. But Bally Hoo succeeded where many others failed. Good cevich, good pico and decent margaritas, all while watching the pelicans. Perfect.

The fish (grouper) had been swimming in the morning. The various preparations were perfect! Fish tacos with tamarind sauce were memorable. Ceviche was great, too. Looking forward to returning!
