We loved the fish tacos and Bally Hoo! Came back for them twice. They are fresh and delicious! They have a special tamarind salsa which is tasty, but I personally loved their pico de gallo (you have to order it separately but it is worth it). Get the fish tacos. Seriously. Right on the dock too so you have a... More

I know the fish was fresh because I caught it! These folks were kind enough to prepare what I brought in may different ways. The preparation was excellent and the seasonings were just perfect. It is nearly impossible to describe how great this food was. Try it over some of the more "america" options on the island. You will not... More

Love the location and atmosphere I could spend all day soaking it up. The food was good especially the shrimp ceviche. The fish tacos were also good but I have had better on the island and next time would try something else at this restaurant. We loved the tee shirt our server was wearing and inquired about buying one and... More

Excellent seafood, especially ceviche & calamari. We tried it the first evening of our week-long dive trip to Isla Mujeres and came back two more times. The main restaurant street on the island is a few blocks away, Calle Hidalgo. In summer the heat there is brutal. Bally Hoo sits out into the marina area on Bahia Mujeres, so it... More

We absolutely loved this restaurant! Started our day at 6:30am because we had to be at the dock to go on the Whale Shark snorkeling trip (which was AMAZING)!! We decided to get there early because we had read on tripadvisor that Bally Hoo's had great food!! It was so nice to sit by the water and have such a... More

If want a lovely evening breeze, fresh food and fantastic service, you must visit Bally Hoo! We've been coming here for three years and it's always been a great experience. The fish is straight out of the sea and the fish & chips are fantastic, and such great value. The staff are so friendly and fun too.

Just returned from Isla Mujeres and had the pleasure of discovering this restaurant/bar. We didn't eat here but had drinks on the patio nightly. The staff here is amazing remembering our names after one visit. I highly recommend this stop you your visit to the island!

This was the second trip to Isla and second time at Bally Hoo. Hubby loves this place for the fish tacos. We've had both the grilled and fried. Throw caution to the wind and get the fried version. The salsas they served with them were good and I had a divine mango margarita while the hubby had a regular version.... More

Ok, this place is behind a gas station, and you actually have to use the restroom in the gas station, but don't let that deter you. A great bar, with tables on the water, and cool vibe. We had the surf and turf for two and it was delicious! Service was prompt and friendly, and the wine was very good.... More
