Fun staff, great owners, yummy margaritas

We met the owner Tim and his wife while we were hanging out at the pool bar at our hotel and they were a hoot, so, of course we had to stop in when we hit the town. Great margaritas that pool over the side of the glass and awesome wait staff. It's a great laid back place and a... read more

Here you're on the main drag, sipping on a drink and looking at the ocean from across the street. The staff here are super friendly (Abraham, Tanya, Carlos, Miguel, etc.) and the drinks are reasonable. The food is good too. They usually have live music and the pair that I've seen here several times can really play the american tunes... More

Our day in the port was a shopping & bar crawl through Cozumel. The Thirsty Cougar first caught our attention by the name. The drinks are great, guac is yummy and staff is friendly and attentive. The owner was a super cool dude and all of the employees said he was a great guy. We liked the place so well... More

Came by here while waiting for the Lobster Shack to open next door, lucky us! The margaritas are quite good! I had the traditional fresh lime margarita on the rocks and it was great! My wife got a frozen strawberry fruitarita and it was HUGE! Friendly service and a great place to chill, drink, and people watch by the sea.

We really liked this place. Came with my wife and a couple of friends. Had the ceviche, the lobster and fish fillet. Everything was so good!! And of course the huge Margaritas!! Been there twice and will definitely come again and recommend my friends. Can be a bit cheaper though.

We stopped here for a beer and met another couple and ended up staying for an hour chatting and enjoying several beers which were ice cold! The bartender was very friendly and the food other people were having looked very nice! The frozen drinks also looked yummy...next time!!!!

Can't think of a much better place along the main strip to people watch, have a giant margarita and a bite to eat. The prices aren't exactly cheap, but the portions are very large, so you get your money's worth. We visited twice during our recent visit. On the first visit, we both ordered food. I ordered bean and cheese... More

I found the Thirsty Cougar 2 years ago on a trip to Cozumel and it easily became my favorite place to eat and drink on the island. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is great. The food is very good but the margaritas are amazing! Peter was on vacation but the new bartender, Manuel, was just as friendly... More

Stopped in for drinks while shopping. AMAZING! I had a Pina Colada, and it was like a snow cone with alcohol! The glass was served on a plate to catch the overflow. Very tasty and refreshing on a hot day! Will definitely go back!
