Al Pie de Carbon is one of the best restaurants I have encountered. We have been returning to Cozumel for many years and this is a little hidden gem! The food and service is outstanding! Everything is cooked fresh right before you on the curbside grill. Although they pride themselves on their beef options, the seafood is wonderful! They also... More

I got in after a long day traveling--what a great smell, just two doors from the hotel. Eating streetside I had the shrimp tacos and beer. It was delicious and a very pretty presentation.

We ate here for the first time, after many visits to Cozumel. Excellent food and service. Yes, this is really a steak place on the island of seafood. They specialize is Angus beef, but we opted for the Mexican variety, which was great. A nice filet, a T-bone, salad, sangria and beer was only $575 pesos. Service was great, and... More

I sat outside on a Tuesday evening next to a large party and was ignored for some time, even though I was told it's ok to sit outside. I ordered the grilled salmon and it came under cooked, so the half eaten salmon was then taken out of my plate, put back on the grill (visible from where we were... More

A great meal, very pleasant service. This place deserves its reputation. I had simple beef tacos that were delicious, everyone else went with something fancier and everyone was happy with the taste and preparation of their meat. A bit back from the main drag, so it is peaceful.

My wife and I had just gotten married a couple of days prior and her birthday was our second to last day in Cozumel so we decided to go out for dinner vs stay at the resort. Our scuba guide and photographer referred a couple of places to eat after we wrapped up our photo session. What a great place... More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant to us, and we loved it! In fact, we went there twice! The food was delicious. There was some sort of a mushroom/cheese appetizer that was to die for. I need to find someplace in Seattle that has something similar! And the rest of the food was just as good. Everything we ate, even the... More

Al Pie de Carbon is a great local restaurant in Cozumel. I am not a big steak eater, but if you are this is the place to go. They grill the steaks on a large grill outside the restaurant. I had the chicken tacos, which were very good. The pasta and steaks looked good too. The bread they serve with... More
