A gentleman at Casa Mexicana recommended this restaurant to us when asked "where's the best place to get lunch...maybe off the main street". Well, we only had to go 2 blocks down to run into this jewel! We arrived (mid-afternoon) and were the only ones there. A gentleman (I'm guessing it was Omar) sat us. There was a moment when... More

Returned once again to dine with Omar and we had another wonderful meal! I am not a lobster fanatic so had a fish fillet but my friend's lobster was so delicious that I may order it when we return! I have often tried lobster to see what the fuss is about but always thought it was rather tasteless and did... More

I guess I had bad luck. First, I tried calling their phone number for reservations and it is a non working number. We arrived around 6pm and thought it was closed because no one was around. Omar then popped out and seated us quickly. Omar only had $60-$70 priced lobster for me but then somehow was able to find two... More

Omar! Omar! Omar! From the second we arrived we felt at home. Amazing food, fresh salad, phenomenal pico and even better lobster with accompanying drawn butter and garlic oil dipping sauces! Granted we were the only ones in the restaurant, but it was 8:00 pm on a Thursday night in low season... GO THERE!!! Cash only, but no problema, we... More

We arrived about 8:00, no one was there...which would normally scare me, but was about to have the best experience of my life. If you like the "hole in the wall experience", you will find it here. We had our choice of seats and Omar, their owner, started bringing us food. First came the margaritas and tequila shots. Omar brought... More

Our first night in Cozumel we found a business card for this quaint off the main road restaurant. Omar greeted us at the door and made us feel like VIP customers. We started the meal off with his famous margarita with a generous pour of tequila. The margarita was wonderful and then he brought out the BEST PICO DE GALLO... More

We spotted the restaurant while wandering some back streets in town and decided to try it for lunch. The service was great and very friendly. The food was awesome. The caliente sauce will certainly get the sweat forming on the forehead. Did not eat the lobster, but the chicken and coconut shrimp were very good. It wasn't busy and was... More

This is a pleasant restaurant- plenty of food and pricier than the average dinner here. We were surprised to be told after the meal that they are cash only, so be aware.

I was staying on the same block, so I stopped in for some lunch on my first day. I ordered mixed ceviche and a beer. Ceviche didn't taste fresh and was very "fishy." The waiter, Omar, was very nice and told me that it would be more busy and happening after 8, so I thought I would come back. When... More

Had a wonderful, romantic meal at La Lobsteria on our most recent vacation!! We've eaten lobster all over the island, and this was hands down, the best prepared, freshest, and biggest tail for your dollar!! Don't trust the guy's who claim, "Best tail I ever had!", because their service is not ANYWHERE near what it should be for the outrageously... More
