Excellent late night spot

One of the best tacquerias on the island, very popular with locals, excellent foor value. Try the frijole especial soup, delicious. We ate here three times in a week, very hospitable staff. Our go to late night spot

The restaurant is on a main road and open and cozy. The location of TripAdvisor is accurate to the true location. The food was incredible. If you want authentic taco's and fresh food at bottom dollar place this is where to go. The menu is completely in spanish and posted on the wall. I think most of the waiters speak... More

This the best food place on Cozumel! Tacos are juicy and fresh, always served with onion, cilantro and lime. Our favorites are taco aracherra and frijoles. We went to other taquerias, but nowhere was as fresh, well prepared and thick as in El Pique.

If you want to go where the local Mexicans eat, try Pique. It's the kind of local place where there is not a ton of English, but there are plenty of friendly faces who will help you find something delicious. The chorizo tacos are amazing. This was our favorite of the four local taco spots we tried (Chilangos, Los Otes,... More

This place had good Yucatan tacos, so they are a bit smaller than what you may be used to. They had a Mexican league soccer game on which was appealing for me and the place was cheap. I think my favorite part is how basic the place is and the fact that you won't get the cruise ship people crowding... More

We really enjoy this very "local" establishment. When we want an inexpensive, delicious and truly Mexican dinner, this is our go to place. The Frijoles Esp are off the chart because they have a generous amount of Pastor mixed in. The Mushroom Quesadilla gets a big thumbs up from the wife. There signature dish is the Piques, which are like... More

After leaving Cancun, we were hoping to get away from the crazy touristy atmosphere. Off the main road, we asked for a dinner suggestion from a man who was closing his stand for the evening. He and his friend immediately responded with El Pique so we were off on our way. Just 5-6 blocks away from the water, we found... More

Would highly recommend this for a casual and insanely cheap meal. We loved it and could not stop ordering more and more tacos. Probably the best food while we had in Cozumel and it was neat to get out of the touristy restaurants and get a more local experience. Highly recommend for someone looking for a laid back and authentic... More

The best tacos we had. Walking distance from downtown and the ferry terminal. Lots of local people eat there. Pesos cash only. A supper market cross the street.

I sought out El Pique on the advice of my Airbnb host. I ordered the gringa taco from the wall menu. The food came out a short time later, it resembled a pizza, sliced into many pieces, and it was delicious. Authentic, no tourists, I would recommend to anyone wanting to blend in with the locals for an off the... More
