Underwhelmed Twice

We have eaten at Kinta on prior trips and generally had good experiences. Dined there twice on our last visit and frankly I was disappointed each time. The ambiance is fine if you are seated in their small courtyard but we heard complaints about the noise level in the interior area (from some who... read more

We saved Kinta as for our last night on the island. We wanted our last dinner to be a special one and special, it was. In fact, we enjoyed it so much we were actually disappointed we’d waited as long as we did to try it. The outdoor patio is spacious and inviting. My only complaint about the patio, and... More

The food was okay - creative take on classic Mexican dishes, as expected. But for the price - it was not worth it. The service was awful. Our waiter was actually rude. Even if the waiter was having a bad day - it wasn't his place to take it out on us. There are so many great local places in... More

This was a good restaurant with innovative "gormet" (to quote the waiter) Mexican food. Tasty and nice presentation and a different mix from traditional Mexican. The service was good, the atmosphere mellow and we will likey return again.

Very romantic atmosphere in an open garden area. Service is elegant but casual. Chili relleno is yummy. I especially enjoyed the Cozumel salad with grilled shrimp.

Everything about our dining experience was terrific. Servers were professional knowledgeable about food and gave great suggestions. Well timed courses created a relaxing atmosphere and let me acknowledge the absolutely wonderful food. We didn't expect this food expertise in Cozumel and were very pleased with the fusion of island and mexican cuisines. The owner Chis spoke with us (more specifically... More

This was our second visit to Kinta and our experience was as good as our first. We arrived without a reservation but we were warmly greeted and led to a table outside, There was a light breeze that made the candles flicker, adding to the ambiance of the space. Panchita, the reigning restaurant cat, appeared beside our table and meowed... More

We went to kinta restaurant again on this dive trip. The Margaritas were good but not near as good as they were in 2013 the last time we were there. The service was even slow but ok if you just relax and enjoy the island. The food I had as ok but again not ad good as in the past.

Be adventuresome and get off the beaten path. There are many "tourist" type restaurants along the water in Cozumel, but a few blocks from the water lie a few great choices for outdoor romantic dining. The food at Kinta was superb and the service was excellent. We highly recommend it.

The house bread is delicious. I had the shrimp and scallop enchiladas, which were amazing. I want to go back to Cozumel just to eat here!
