When we're in Cozumel, Los Otates is a must-go for us. Off the main drag and a local favorite, Los Otates offers outside-only dining in a very casual environment. The food is simple yet delicious and the menu offers a variety we don't see in many eateries on the Island. Our favorites include the guacamole and accompanying fresh salsas as... More

This is a very small restaurant frequented by mostly locals. We discovered it on a recent trip and now it will be my "go to" place in Cozumel. The tacos are great and very reasonable. You can go far and wide and never find tacos as good as this.

It's a bit tough to find, but definitely tasty. I'm a sucker for tacos al pastor, and these are authentic and tasty. Unfortunately, they didn't have anything from the head when I went so no jowl or tongue tacos. What I did have was tasty, although we went for lunch. I have a feeling this place starts to fill up... Love the tacos al pastor! Its deceiving when you pull up. It looks like a shack. But the tables are clean, the food is prepped in a clean visible area. Prices are about $5-6 per person for tacos, soda, and an order of guacamole. We've come here for the last several years. There are very few "gringos" and unless you... More

Rustic setting, very open and airy. plastic furniture was a little wobbly but the tacos were great. For the adventurous, some of the taco options include beef cheek, brain, eye muscles, and tongue. I opted for the chopped skirt steak and was very pleased with the flavor. The Tacos are served with a couple of salsas as well as chopped... More

A taxi ride gets you there easily. Small place, corrugated metal roof. Very informal. Tacos and burritos are the specialty. The burritos are different from what one would expect with Tex/Mex. Meat and some greens...that was about it. So went down easily. Not a lot of English is spoken there, and they only take CASH.

Very good service and the food was wonderful. I had the "Gringos" (appropriate :P) and it was delicious! Was a bit warm during the day but kinda comes with being in Mexico in June. Thank goodness for Ice Cold Sol Beer!

This is a great place with excellent tacos and good cold beer. It is a local place and you won't get a taco anywhere for less money. My suggestion is to visit it at night or in April because in June in the daytime it is very warm. Great meal and will return.

This place is amazing and consistent quality. Skip the tourist trap restaurants and go back a few blocks. Parking is great. Just pull in and park even in named spaces. Our kids 14, 14, 17 live it!

I had the chorizo tacos and they were amazing! Excellent prices as well, very inexpensive. We specifically asked locals where to eat, and they didn't disappoint! While we were there, around 1-3 pm, we saw several locals come in and take food to go. Many were staff from other places that were on break.
