This was very close to where we were staying and we ate here after diving. It was so good we couldn't wait to go back. I really wish I could get the burritos here! Between our visits, we had the queso fundido with chorizo, the chicken burrito, the chorizo burrito, the hamburger tacos, steak burrito, and the guacamole. Easily the... More

Me and my wife live in Cozumel and Otates is a few blocks from our house. While not the absolute best tacos on the island they are still great and we eat here usually at least once a week. Very affordable, for a couple you can eat and have a beer each and leave with a bill of less than... More

When we're in Cozumel, Los Otates is a must-go for us. Off the main drag and a local favorite, Los Otates offers outside-only dining in a very casual environment. The food is simple yet delicious and the menu offers a variety we don't see in many eateries on the Island. Our favorites include the guacamole and accompanying fresh salsas as... More

This is a very small restaurant frequented by mostly locals. We discovered it on a recent trip and now it will be my "go to" place in Cozumel. The tacos are great and very reasonable. You can go far and wide and never find tacos as good as this.

It's a bit tough to find, but definitely tasty. I'm a sucker for tacos al pastor, and these are authentic and tasty. Unfortunately, they didn't have anything from the head when I went so no jowl or tongue tacos. What I did have was tasty, although we went for lunch. I have a feeling this place starts to fill up... Love the tacos al pastor! Its deceiving when you pull up. It looks like a shack. But the tables are clean, the food is prepped in a clean visible area. Prices are about $5-6 per person for tacos, soda, and an order of guacamole. We've come here for the last several years. There are very few "gringos" and unless you... More

Rustic setting, very open and airy. plastic furniture was a little wobbly but the tacos were great. For the adventurous, some of the taco options include beef cheek, brain, eye muscles, and tongue. I opted for the chopped skirt steak and was very pleased with the flavor. The Tacos are served with a couple of salsas as well as chopped... More

A taxi ride gets you there easily. Small place, corrugated metal roof. Very informal. Tacos and burritos are the specialty. The burritos are different from what one would expect with Tex/Mex. Meat and some greens...that was about it. So went down easily. Not a lot of English is spoken there, and they only take CASH.

Very good service and the food was wonderful. I had the "Gringos" (appropriate :P) and it was delicious! Was a bit warm during the day but kinda comes with being in Mexico in June. Thank goodness for Ice Cold Sol Beer!
