Located on 50th Ave. Pescaderia San Carlos is quite a walk from the main tourist area. From the Ferry pier area you may want to take a taxi. We walked from the public market at 20th ave to the restaurant. This was an easy walk and we were able to absorb some of the local culture off the beaten path... More

It was a grouper extravaganza. Soup, cerviche, and tacos. So delicious. Service was so great. I asked about a fruit tree in the middle of the restaurant. The question was answered with a small bowl of the fruit. It was delicious. The fruit remains a mystery but the food is fresh and well worth the trip.

We discovered this place two years ago and couldn't wait to get back. Posh it ain't, but if you want fresh fish cooked in clean oil, then try it out. The menu is fairly simple, whole fried fish (our favourite), grilled filet and fried filet, plus a few shrimp dishes. Complimentary fish ceviche is delicious and the staff cheerful and... More

If you want the best seafood - this is the place. I have eaten here for more than 10 years and never ever disappointed. Everything is fresh and very very tasty. It is a place the locals eat and for me that is the best recommendation.

I stay on the island 2 months everything year and eat here once a week. It is off the tourist map ( which is another reason I love it). Diego, the owner, serves up the freshest fish on the island and the garlic grouper or filet mexicana are 2 of my favorites !!!!!! The prices are VERY reasonable. The seating... More

We had a couple of fantastic lunches at this pescaderia. Everything was super fresh and delicious, and we enjoyed the little courtyard where we had our lunch. A lot of locals eat year, so it has a very authentic feel to it. Fresh seafood, reasonable prices, some live music... what else can you ask?

Ok this place is off the beaten path but well worth it. When you arrive they will bring out a just made plate of cheviche, fresh caught fish my favorite if the Cameron empanizado or bread shrimp. the best limeade on the Island get it with mineral water.

Awesome fresh seafood with great cold beverages and wine and fantastic prices! You must stop here and have a meal while in Cozumel! You will definitely go back! :) P.S. We were visiting friends during March Break 2014!
