Once again, our favorite lunch spot. Fresh fish, great flavors and friendly staff. Worth the trek into the residential area to get authentic food and get away from the crowded tourist traps.

This is a great local spot, great prices, and the best fried fish and grilled shrimp you will find anywhere.

A short taxi ride off the main strip is this terrific little restaurant with the seating situated in a courtyard which includes a caged pet parrot. One friend ordered the grouper and I was splitting the 4 fish taco's with another friend. The portions were generous and two taco's were more than enough for me. The owner served us our... More

Get off the beaten path while in Cozumel and get over to Pescaderia San Carlos! In addition to the friendly service and proprietor, you'll be rewarded with a red snapper meal like you've never had before: Scaled whole, scored, and fried to a crispy golden brown. The freshness of the fish is apparent: it is firm, sweet, and flaky. I've... More

Love the colorful art work that was on the chairs. Scuba influence. Some of the seafood i was disappointed with the quality. It tasted fishy. We had a large group and they accomodated and served us well. This is a very remote location and was recommended by one of the locals and is worth the find.

We went here to have seafood for lunch. It was down time, so was somewhat empty. There was just another table, but there was still live music showing Mexicans love for live music :) I had fish soup and my gf had grilled fish. The food was a genuine representation of the local cuisine, the portions were large and very... More

We picked a red snapper from the cooler. The pan fried it for us in a giant black pan. It was perfect! The free ceviche was excellent as well. The beer was cold. They finished playing as we ordered bc a soccer match was starting that they all wanted to watch! It was great! We watched with the owner and... More

Small open air place with a limited menu of fish dishes. Well prepared, simple yet tasty. A plate of ceviche is served upon arrival with taco chips. Beer and soft drinks are your drink options. Owner is very personable and speaks english. Takeout window is always busy and I understand from others that you can buy fish to prepare at... More

Let me start by saying everyone at Pescaderia San Carlos is real friendly. You can pick your whole fish and they will deep fry it for you. I do not care for this style and asked for mine to be prepared in the style of Vera Cruz. No problem amigo, pick your fish and we will do it. Only problem... More

Best fish dishes on the island. This place never disappoints. We ordered one fish fried and one grilled mexican style (it was awesome). Ceviche was great. They did have a red habanaro salsa, to hot to enjoy (at least at our table).
