Fantastic local tacos!

We were looking for authentic, local lunch spot. You can either order from the counter out front or there is seating in the back. Covered back porch and ceiling fans. Found it with Carlos! We had the fish tacos, chicken tacos, and ceviche. Everything we had was outstanding. The fresh salsa he... read more

The fried grouper was sooooooo Yummy! My husband and brother-in-law loved. Others also had the fish with garlic and butter they also said it was delicious. I had the shrimp quesadilla, it was "ok" not a lot of flavor. They also serve Mexican Ceviche with chips prior to the meal....WOW so good. Local restaurant so not all speak English and... More

A little local fresh fish place. Although there is a more extensive menu, we keep coming back for the absolutely fresh fried whole fish. You choose the fish you want from a little cooler. (The freshest fish have the clearest eyes) They fry it up for you and serve it with a little ceviche, tortillas, salsa. Our favorite beer currently... More

Get off the main drag and have some fresh seafood here! We enjoyed 4 beers fresh salsa and chips, the best seafood ceviche and two of the freshest fish platter we've ever had for under $30 with tip! Very attentive and friendly wait staff, we will come back again!

We found this restaurant thru Trip Advisor reviews. After scuba diving in Cozumel we were all ready to feed our beast of appetite. Unfortunately this is not a restaurant that heavily incentivized locals will even mention the same to you. So after scanning through the Chili's style restaurant close to the Ferry- we headed to Pescaderia San Carlos. You have... More

I have been going to Diego's ( Pescaderia San Carlos ) for almost 20 years and they are the best fish in town. Great selection of fresh fish, Diego speaks English and you get a ton of food for your money. We normally take fish home rather than eat there, but they have a nice restaurant in the back and... Nice local neighborhood restaurant with live music. My wife and I went there for mid-afternoon lunch on a Friday after a morning of diving. Complementary ceviche appetizer of conch and grouper was wonderful. For an entrée I had the fried whole fish and a beer, and my wife had camarones (shrimp) cooked in garlic and a limeade. Both meals were... More

Found out about this place last year from crew member from our cruise, but did not get a chance to go until 5/15. This is one of those places that is a hole in the wall, but turns out to be a gem. Fresh fish is the specialty. Grouper cerviche was stupendous and came as a table additive with chips.... More

This was my third visit to San Carlos and it continues to not disappoint. If you love ceviche and fish this is the place to go for a late lunch meal. The restaurant is not easy to find and adds to the charm. We had the deep fried whole fish and honestly I would normally of asked for grilled but... More

Located on 50th Ave. Pescaderia San Carlos is quite a walk from the main tourist area. From the Ferry pier area you may want to take a taxi. We walked from the public market at 20th ave to the restaurant. This was an easy walk and we were able to absorb some of the local culture off the beaten path... More
