Great breakfast and lunch restaurant

The food is wonderful here. We ate here almost every day for 4 weeks. For breakfast the french toast or Mexican dishes are very. French toast comes with fruit or bacon and we usually had both. The orange juice is fresh squeezed and very good. For lunch we had various kinds of tacos (fish, pork... read more

We first visited La Candela a year ago, loved it, and returned several times. It's now a year later, and we've been going to La Candela either for breakfast or lunch about 4 times a week. The owner is Cuban, and he has great English skills. You will find local folk as well as a few cruise ship passengers who... More

Our tour guide suggested this place to eat before returning to the cruise ship. It was a awesome experience. The food was amazing and the service was A plus....try the carrot soup and the cold beer hits the spot!

It was billed as a Cuban restaurant by the person that recommended it but they offered no Cuban sandwiches or Cuban coffee which is usually my only barometer when evaluating my limited Cuban culinary delights. Many of the dishes on the menu I did not recognize. All I can say is that it is highly recommended by locals and ex-patriots... More

We were on a cruise and had a day in Cozumel. We asked our cab driver to drop us off at a local restaurant, not a tourist trap! It was really great! A couple of cold beers along with soup and fajitas!!!! Very reasonable price!!!

A great atmosphere, very friendly people, not too pushy. I love the fish tacos washed down with one of the best Margaritas I had on the island.

Being in Mexico, our small group wanted an authentic Mexican Meal. There are several Tex-Mex restuarants along the main strip "but" a small gift shop recomended this one, only 1 block away. The price is unbelievable and the food was awsome. Since that time we have been back 3 additional years. Have NEVER been disapointed.

This has become one of our local favorite restaurants for breakfast or lunch (they close around 5pm). This is more traditional mexican food and the crowd is at least half locals. The menu offers a variety of dishes - everything we've tried is good to great. We usually eat at least one lunch and one breakfast at La Candela and... More
