The restaurant is a great place to soak up the local culture and enjoy Lion Fish, we go every Thursday night, 2 for 1 special for Lion Fish, go early, the best bargain on the island.

The fish filet I had was tender and flavorful. The ambience was authentic Mexican. The chairs were handpainted with fun ocean scenes. Service was quick and pleasant.

strong margarita, lion fish is excellent. It is a predator to the Cozumel reef(per story I heard) came from China. Has no natural predator here. It was a white meaty fish, loved it. Had the seafood kabob, excellent. Breakfast fair, Diegos is better.

We were treated like family on both visits. If you are in Cozumel this restaurant is a must. The Lionfish was very good, I highly recommend it. And oh the quacemole, Yummmm! Good margaritas too. Our second visit we all had the red snapper, fresh grilled. Can't say enough good things about the freshness and quality of our meals. La... More

Fantastic grilled octopus with garlic. Cozy atmosphere. Meals came with rice and cooked vegetables which were both good. Small portions of sides for size of fish portion.

This place is the not worth going out of your way for, in my opinion. The food is average, definitely nothing to write home about. The lion fish is fun to try, though, it is a tasty fish. I cannot even emphasize enough how comically rude the server was - he seemed equally rude to everyone regardless of nationality. You... More

While riding my bike around the neighborhood in Cozumel Mexico this evening looking for something to eat I found this local favorite that serves wonderful seafood. I always stay in the different neighborhoods and not in the hotels because you can never find these gems. Adding to the ambiance was a local guitarist with a lovely voice. I ordered the... More

This charming small restaurant is far from where things happen in Cozumel but it's well worth the detour. Among the restaurant's specialties is lionfish, which is delicious but not the only good thing you'll find here. Have been here several times and it's never disappointing. Try the lionfish ceviche, shrimp cocktail, mixed ceviche or the seafood-filled avocado. All of them... More

I was attracted to this restaurant by the mention that one of its specialities is lionfish. This impressive looking fish is not native to the Caribbean, and is causing havoc with some native species, so people are allowed to hunt them. They taste delicious, and la Perlita does a great job with it. Like many of the restaurants not on... More

A great Mexican seafood restaurant. We make it a point to come here whenever we visit Cozumel. It has never disappointed. It is away from the main drag but gives it its charm. I always have a lionfish dish. This trip my wife had the grilled lobster - she loved it. The margaritas are super good. The pico de gallo... More
