This restaurant was recommended by a fellow traveler. I'm glad we took him up on the place. Like most of the better places to eat in CZM, this place is literally dug out from between a rock and a hard place. Great, friendly service with that quaint CZM ambiance. Plenty of smiles and cold drinks. This will be a have... More

A little off the beaten path in a true neighborhood in Cozumel. Unbelievable food with a very welcoming atmosphere. The proprietor spent time with us explaining the legend behind the drink at the end of the meal. Appetizers and main course were perfect. I would say best meal we have had in Cozumel and worth a second trip. May be... More

The food as always was very well done, but I think the best part of El Moro for me is the staff. The waiter has been there for years and he treats us like part of the family. It's always a good time!

It is not a fancy place, it is located in a neighborhood. Take taxi otherwise it will be a mighty long walk. The service and food was outstanding. The owner told us the history about the restaurant. He puts his heart and soul into El Moro. We left with more friends, full bellies and hugs. Can't wait to return again.

This was one of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had. It is located in a pretty sketchy neighborhood 2.2 miles from the town square. Take a cab. You will think the cabbie is taking you somewhere to rob you. He's not. He's taking you to an amazing family owned restaurant. The people are incredible and the food is... More

The food was absolutely amazing. The guacamole was smooth and had great flavors. The fish... MY GOD THE FISH! It was spectacular! It was like butter, the way it just melted in your mouth. I had to let everyone at my table try it and everyone couldn't believe how good it was. The chicken fajitas were also outstanding, especially the... More

This was our third trip to Cozumel in the past 20 years and every time, we dined at El Moro. It is family run by what can only be described as the nicest people we have ever met in any of our travels. Excellent food, giant cocktails and friendly attentive service.

A warm welcome and delicious dinner awaited us. Seafood platters (love the conch) chicken mole, grilled shrimp enjoyed by 6 happy eaters. El Moro makes it's own atmosphere, that's why so many of us keep coming back.
