I went there tks to tripadvisor's recommendation and I am a happier person now. The place was practically empty (it was Monday night) so we had all the attention from the waiter. He explained how each one of the fish menu was done and I couldn't decide as they all sounded amazing! In the end we went with his recommendation... More

As has been written by others, El Moro is a good choice while in Cozumel. The food is good (the guacamole may be the best on the island?), the people are very friendly, and the prices are reasonable if not cheap. Try the enchiladas with mole, chips and guac, with a cold beer; you won't leave unhappy!

This family and staff who work here are the happiest people in Cozumel! The service and food were the best and I could have eaten there every day! We shared the combination plate, had a margarita and home made butter pecan ice cream. Wow, talk about comfort food!! The kitchen is open, so you can watch the cooking going on... More

After three days of Italian food the other half really wanted a place with legitimate local food. We asked our dive master and he suggested El Moro. We wrote the address down and told the taxi where to take us. We later saw taxis circling trying to find it so give them the actual address as its tucked back in... More

We ate here three times this trip. Love the restaurant, very friendly staff, a wide variety of menu items and good service. The prices here are considerably lower than most Cozumel restaurants. The caveat is this. They said they were serving Grouper as their fish. They were not serving Grouper. Grouper is very thick fish with large flakes. What we... More

This is just a great place with a large menu you cant go wrong. We were there with a party of 9 and the service was very good and every one enjoyed the food and they make graet drinks.

The reviews on El Moro on TA are spot on. This place is out of the way but worth the drive. Not as hard to find as some said. Just look at Google Maps satellite and you can easily locate it. We did it in the dark. Awesome food and drinks. Great service. Do yourself a favor and check this... More

We just got back from a week in Cozumel, and based on the TripAdvisor reviews of the El Moro Restaurant, we decided to give it a try. In a word, it was outstanding. The food was excellent (I had the Yucatan Pork, Nachos and Corn Soup), the drinks well-prepared and cold, and all 7 in our party were very pleased... More
