Welcome back place

The place really has a local ambience that is always a treat to come back to. We shared the Zechariah platter for 3, and it probably would have filled 6 people. Made for great leftovers for lunch the next day. Great margaritas too.

Always great food and service, nice quiet, I hate places with music so loud you can't even chat, pretty open. Love El Moro

We have been to El Moro several time, twice during this trip and plan one more time before we head back to Tennessee. Helsar, Ray's brother has been our server both times this trip and he is so GREAT!! The whole family is wonderful and we got pictures with mama( Lucy) Papa( Rodolfo) Helsar and Ray. They are a precious... More

It's really hard to add any more good things to say about El Moro than have been said on these reviews. They've cooked wahoo, mahi mahi and tuna for us every time we bring in our catch. The one thing I've never figured out is how Ray can smile from ear to ear all the time! His brothers are excellent... More

Who shot the sheriff is the history of this place. The bartender told us the history of El Moro which was fascinating. The food was excellent also. Good innovative drink menu. Wonderful historic décor. The food was excellent and the staff oh so friendly.

Ray and the family do a incredible job. The food is top notch. Ray really has a passion for his restaurant. We have been there in past years, and this trip we went twice. The food and atmosphere never changes. Outstanding

I really can't heap many more good things on El Moro that haven't been said. We love it. A multiple stop place on every visit. I will say I don't believe there is anyone on the planet that has more passion about what he does or the food he serves. I'd go just to hear Ray describe any one of... More

We went to El Moro for the first time last year on the last night of our trip and were totally overwhelmed. This time we corrected that tactical error and we dined at El Moro before the end of our trip. Ray was our waiter, and if there is a nicer person in the world, I haven't met him. I've... More

Was in Cozumel at the end of April, as usual took the friends that joined us at our resort plus new ones we made at the pool to El Moro for dinner. Ray was an exceptional waiter as always. This is like Christmas dinner or something for us - it's just tradition, and this year didn't disappoint. I don't know... More

I can't remember the first time I ever had mole but over the years (at least 30) I've had mole many times in many places, so I think I can say I know what to expect. I just returned from dinner at El Moro in Cozumel, Q.R., Mexico and I can honestly say its was one of the best mole... More
