Good food and great service

We were a group of 6 visiting during the Mardi Gras. The staff made us feel very welcomed. The food was good and typical for the area. Drinks were also good. There were no unpleasant surprises or delays, which can be more common on Cozumel than other areas. Prices were reasonable. We enjoyed it... read more

Had a craving for local food tonight and ended up at El Foco on recommendation from our friendly hotel bartender. Not a fancy place, but the tacos were very flavorful and service was excellent! Just what I needed tonight. Will be going back to try some other items on the menu.

One of the transplanted locals we went I a dive with recommended this place for lunch. They had a wide selection of vegetarian and meat (no fish) tacos. Each order makes 3-4 tacos. They were so delicious! Not a great tequila selection but better than other places we've been to in Cozumel. May go back tomorrow for lunch; so good!

Most places close down rather early, but El Foco is open and serving food late. It is on the way from the center of town to where I was staying, so I stopped in for a quick taco around midnight. The taco was unremarkable, and the service was minimal.

Fantastic tacos! They also make great mojitos and Margaritas. Try the lambordini with beef or the Aztec!

Great tacos and reasonable prices. It's not on the main strip and it's worth hunting for. They have big menus made of wood that they sit in a chair for the table to read. If you ask, they'll give you a marker to write on the wall. Staff is very friendly.

Great tacos at a super price. Very nice family run place that makes you feel at home. I'm in Cozumel for a while and will be going back a bunch of times. Thanks martin and family :)

This place was great! Very friendly people. the food was excellent and the drinks were huge, especially the double rum and coke I ordered - a bottle of coke and a full glass of rum! I highly recommend this place, we went there about 4 times in 7 days!

If you are looking for a truly “local authentic” experience, El Foco is for you. Located just a block or two (Avenida 5) off of the main street, this place is the real deal. Our first visit was after a diving and while they looked closed… they welcomed us in with all smiles. The owner took our food and drink... More
