As of this writing, I've been going to Cozumel numerous times each year for the last 20 years. The various restaurants that make up the La Mission group have pretty good food. Prices are reasonable. What I have a hard time with is the attitudes of the waiters. Here's what I mean: I took a new group to La Mission... more

The lobster was the best I ever tasted, Only $20 bucks and it was a big tail. My wife had the steak filet she also enjoyed. A band played for us which was nice but only played one song, would of been nice to hear them play in the background. Only complaint that I had was the my shirt was... more

You must have the lime soup as your start to a great meal. Well priced and great service, dinner at La Mission in Cozumel is always a delightful experience. I enjoy lobster and my husband loves the grouper with garlic sauce. Both entrees are done to perfection. The coconut shrimp is sweet and tender. They have a full dinner menue... more

I have celiac disease -- the inability to digest anything containing gluten. Unfortunately, gluten is contained in many products and not usually labelled as such. Prior to going to Cozumel, I emailed this and another restaurant about my dietary restriction. Only La Mission responded -- the owner herself. All the meals prepared for me were free of gluten. Not only... more

Instead of dealing with the tourist town by the piers we decided to simply ask a few locals what the best restaurant in town was. We asked two people in the best Spanish we could muster and both recommended La Mission. We were sold. With a modest set-rate cab fare of $7 for the two of us we were driven... more

On a scale of 1 to 10, service was a zero. Place was nearly empty and they had about 10 waiters. We constantly had waiters coming to our table, but never the same one twice. They kept coming back to see what we wanted. None of the food came out at the same time, and when it did, it was... more

We have eaten at this restaurant on two separate trips to Cozumel. I recommend it to everyone we know that goes to Cozumel. The setting is relaxed and family friendly. The food is wonderful, service is great…they went out of their way each time to make our visits wonderful and the prices were very reasonable. A must when you visit... more

On our last night in Cozumel, my husband and I finally got to eat at La Mission. We had walked by it several times before, but it had been closed. We were in for an amazing dinner, and we were sad that it was our last day, otherwise, we would have been there every night! We both had the lobster... more

I really can't say much about the food because I didn't eat there. I was going to until I was greeted with by a fresh grouper hanging on the entrance. I looked at the menu and they also serve conch! For a destination that owes its livelihood to its reefs I find it very sad that they would have any... more

My wife and I recently visited Cozumel August 2008 as part of a Carnival Cruise visit. We were hungry, and tempted to visit the easily accessible, albeit very loud Carlos and Charlies, and/or Senor Frogs establishments immediately at the end of the pier. Luckily, a Cozumel Tourist guide happened to be walking by, so we asked - where do you... more
