Muy Authentic!

We go here every time we come to Cozumel. We love the Shrimp Diablo and the Chicken mole. The Mariachi are excellent and the atmosphere is festive. This is an authentic gem!

... how good Mexican food is until visiting (or I should say we were advised to visit) La Choza. The Mexican restaurants we have patronized where I live should be ashamed of themselves.

Everytime we visited, we've been presented with yet another fantastic meal. Highly recommended! We make this one of our "must go" restaurants when we visit.

We were sent here via a recommendation from a tour guide. The food was very good and very reasonably prices. The atmosphere is very good and would definitely recommend a visit.

We stayed at the southern tip of the island without a car and as a result had only two opportunities for dining in San Miguel. La Choza was on a list of favorites of a person we met at our hotel and it was also on the list of top rated restaurants on Map Chick's Coz map. So we figured... More

Best coffee and friendliest staff on the island. We could find something new in the scenery every time we ate here with their colorful decorations and humor.

It is a little off the beaten path but we'll worth it. I had a quasadia that was wonderdul. It looked very plain when it arrived but it was anything but. The flavor of the chicken was excellent. I also ordered the salsa which had a unique taste that was fresh and flavourful. My friend had soup and he said... More

La Choza is a traditional Mexican food restaurant that I had high expection of, but didn't quite make it. Their chips weren't bad, queso was ok, but different, soups were good. I had the beef/shrimp fajitas which were extra salty, but good. My wife had the Shrimp Veracruz which were tough and chewy. Overall it isn't a bad restaurant, but... More

Had lunch here today. Food was wonderful, and the service excellent. Our large group of 11 saw quick service from the moment we were seated to when we left full and happy. Fajitas, Fish Ceviche, Garlic Shrimp, Mole Chicken, and grilled Fish among other dishes were all well cooked and enjoyed. Price was reasonable. Well, for a group where the... More

The main dishes we had at La Choza were fantastic - the tender mole poblano chicken was truly special, and the pork tasted like home :) The reason for not giving it the 5th star is that the accompanying dishes - both soups that came with our entrées and the guacamole - were very bland and not memorable. Had they... More
