We've been in this amazing restaurant in the afternoon, aa soon as we set down a very nice and professional waiter came to us and offered something to drink. Then after we chosed our dishes a boul of nachos was served to us freely and was refilled when it was over! The main dishes came with a delicious soop for... More

La Choza had the best queso I have ever had in my life. Later, I heard that they sell the queso and that it is dairy-free. I thought that it tasted like cheese and cream cheese. If I tried to recreate it I would use homemade salsa, Velveeta, and cream cheese. The food was all delicious. I had the chicken... More

La Choza is for the traveler that wants to experience the culture of Cozumel, and dine on excellent local cuisine. The menu gives patrons selections from fajitas to kabobs, and the meats include fish caught locally. The mole was fresh and full of flavor. The green mole was made with a pumpkin seed base, and complemented the pork to perfection.... More

Walking around the city center in San Miguel Cozumel I desperately wanted to find a nice, cool relaxing place to sit and enjoy some authentic, quality Mexican food. This place fit the bill. Between my limited Spanish and the staff's earnest English, We really enjoyed some pork stewed with tomatoes, carne asada, and some delicious guacamole. It is not air-conditioned,... More

After staying at all the all Inclusive resorts we wanted to try a restaurant the local enjoy. As we spent the week on the island everybody kept repeating two names one of those was La Choza. When asked where the locals would eat they all said La Choza. Our mind was made up.. As we entered the bright colors made... More

If you are looking for some real Mexican food, this is your place. The restaurant is always full of local people (a very good signal). I had the pleasure to eat in this place several times, and every time was a delightful experience. The local is very big, with life music (Mariachis), superb service, delicious food and VERY CHEAP !!... More

I asked a cab driver where he'd take his family for authentic and delicious food and he said without hesitating: La Choza (The Hut). I have been there 5 or 6 times and the last couple of times I was not able to get the fish soup that they serve as an appetizer (free and delicious!). I always buy some... More

I loved the free soup that came with the entrée. We had 2 choices and went with the fish soup and it was incredible! I had the Carne Asada plate and it was absolutely the best flank steak I have ever had. I was able to cut it with my fork. So tender and well marinated and cooked. Great margaritas,... More
