I disembarked my cruise ship with some of the staff, and this is THE place they recommended. We took a cab ride, and it was an excellent choice for lunch, very clean and well furnished, but casual to relax. The interior is an open style building with a nice breeze as a backdrop to the sights and sounds of the... More

I have visited this restaurant 4 times on different trips. The food is good, plentiful, tasty, prepared nicely. I haven't had their drinks, but they look like they are good-sized. The service staff is friendly and tries to please. Nice variety on the menu.

If you are a 'newbie" here for your first time, great! But the tourist industry/cruise ships have ruined it. Tried to get in there on our November cruise but a long waiting line. Lost was the charm of visits in the past like 10 years ago. Now a modern, fast food Mexican joint as far as I am concerned. I... More

We were directed to this restaurant when visiting Cozumel on a 2012 cruise (though both of us have been to Cozumel for vacations in the past.) We had taken a scuba diving lesson for a few hours in the morning and asked the instructors to recommend a local favorite with authentic food -- they hit it out of the park... More

The fish was fresh, the ceviche delicious, the skirt steak tender and seasoned to perfection. The portions were good size. The price was affordable. This is not a tourist trap restaurant, many locals eat here. One dat after Scuba diving, we ate here and the place was filled with families with children still wearing school uniformsl. We ate here man... More

We stopped in to check out the place, since it came highly recommended from everyone in town. Well, what a horrible mistake. The service was absolutely the worst!! Taking 45 minutes for an order of bean and chees nachos. When we spoke to the owner about this, she simply said that it wasn't her fault and that the kitchen and... More

Dear Mr. Matty, we received your review yesterday and we are terribly sorry, there is no excuse, the owner Mrs. Peralta, remembers you and she is very sorry about it, unfortunately she got caught by stress and a little bit lost in translation, and she wants to apologize to you. We can only hope the rest of your trip was... More

We really enjoyed the food at La Choza. My mole chicken was heavenly, with flavours humming in my mouth long after finishing. We had the guacamole to start which was very good. The margaritas are okay, not the best we had on the island, but good enough.

Good choice of food. Priced reasonable. Great service, very clean. I have had margaritas at about 10 locations on the island and I like these the best. A definite stop on the island.

We visited la Choza on a recommendation from our hotel owner. We liked it so good they we ended up going back 5 or 6 times during our 10 day stay on the island. Good food, good music (the band came and played at our table more than once), friendly people, and reasonable prices.

This is where the more affluent locals come to dine. Great atmosphere, very clean, excellent service and good food all at reasonable (by New York) standards.
