I had read that Casa Denis had been around for a lot of years and served traditional Yucatan Mayan food and I was dying to try it. On the menu there is a special section titled Yucatan specialties and we ordered them all (four of five, i'm not sure). They were all fantanstic! and about $5 per item. Beer was... more

This was the first restaurant my husband and I ate at upon arriving at Cozumel on March 4, 2009. What a wonderful place! Great service - our server was more than happy to make sure we had everything we needed! This place also had on of the best margaritas on the island, IMHO. This is my personal favorite restuarant in Cozumel. Excellent food at reasonable prices and top-notch service with our good friend Baltazar. We actually ate twice here and our second visit Baltazar offered to have the kitchen make the same bacon-wrapped shrimp dish that Adrian at Especias is famous for...apparently it is a family recipe. The first night we went here we had the special of grilled snapper for 10US. It was superb, as was our waiter. The second night we went, the snapper was 15US and no comparison to our first visit. Arrived and got free margaritas for the ladies and amazing spicy salsa and chips with our order. BE SURE to order the "Grande" Mojito as it is HUGE and delicious! Baltazar took great care of us and we had a blast. The food was great and so was the atmosphere. more

I didn't expect much when I walked up to this place, as it looks like any number of outdoor eateries catering to the cruiseshippers in Cozumel. But it was actually pretty good! The lime soup was just plain excellent. For an entree I noticed a dish that was listed only by its Spanish name in the menu, and feeling adventurous... more
