Carefree, beautiful outdoor seating, excellent service, fantastic food, recommend las cremas de habichuela o caracol, my last whole fish a la veracruzana was outstanding. Been there since 1988 and have not regretted one dinner.

I visited this restaurant with my parents while we vacationed in Cancun in the hotel zone. We decided to take the R-1 bus to La Habichuela vs. paying for an overpriced taxi (they jack up the rates if you are coming from the hotel zone). Take the R-1 to the end of the Kukulcan Road and either get off at... More

Spectacular food and service in a beautiful setting. We were looking for more traditional Mexican than our hotel offered and this restaurant had something for erroneous.

When we were advised they had a dance show that evening we weren't expecting much..... However that show was great! The dancers were talented and the show was interesting! Definitely a nice addition to wonderful food. If you go make sure you order a dessert coffee, they make it right at your table and it's worth it :)

Wonderful, rustic setting with amazing food! The margaritas were great as well. Honestly, they have some most excellent menu choices! We wanted to visit a 2nd time, but needed to sample more places while in Cancun!

My wife and I ventured downtown to this restaurant on our recent stay in Cancun. We were quite impressed. We met another couple at the restaurant that had been coming to Cancun for the last 24 years and they told us that ever time they're down they make a trip to La Habichuela. After dining there I can see why.... More

We came here on our trip to Cancun in October 2014. we wanted to venture off the resort for one night and decided upon this place to come and eat. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and because we went during the off season, it was almost entirely empty. We started with the house Guacamole, and a bowl of the Lobster... More

We went to la habichuela in the city of cancun, we took a bus from the hotel zone to a stop then a short taxi ride. We chose this location because I liked the look of the entrance! Inside was even lovelier and we were seated in a beautiful garden , a magical setting! Our waiter Jorge was funny and... More

This is in downtown Cancun. My husband and I were exploring downtown area and found this charming restaurant by accident. So glad we did! I liked the peaceful, intimate and well decorated atmosphere inside. The presentation was excellent. Food was great. They made us feel so special. It could be a great location for family dinners and small parties. Very... More
