This is our second time to La Habichuela and it was just as much a disaster as the first time a few years ago. The food is incredibly overpriced and incredibly tasteless. My daughter ordered a shrimp/seafood pasta which was so salty that she had to spit it out. We sent it back to the kitchen and the second time... More

My husband and I had dinner at la Habichuela. The staff was very attentive and the food was great. The habichuela crema was fantastic as was the rest of our meal. Have them prepare a cafe Maya after dinner. An experience not to be missed. If you are looking for a romantic ambience and delicious food this is the place... More

My family and I went to La Habichuela for dinner, and all 5 of us had a great time there! Everything about this restaurant is 5*: beautiful decoration (we were seated in the garden), romantic atmosphere, outstanding service, delicious food, very good drinks, reasonable price. We really liked that they offered extras which were free of charge: souvenirs for the... More

Surprised that a pamphlet in the resort actually had very good recommendations! This restaurant was amazing. The wait staff were incredibly attentive and professional. The atmosphere was beautiful- especially the outside garden. The food was incredible- we had a beef dish, seafood ceviche, a soup, and a starter. There aren't many restaurants where everything you order is amazing but this... More

We asked for advice to our B&B host and Habichuria was her top of the list in the area. Located in a relatively low scale neiborough with a local vibe, the restaurant stands above the average of the other sorrounding locals. The place is very nice, with a patio particularly pleasant in the evening. The service is accurate and courteous... More

Great selection of seafood, traditional Mexican foods. Lots of vegetarian options. The Mayan coffee was delicious. Cool Mayan artwork on the walls. We sat outside and were very comfortable. Great atmosphere.

Went to this restaurant with no real expectations and was pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent, especially the fried soft shell crab. The service was great without being obtrusive and the waiter was knowledgeable and made great recommendations. The ambiance was really nice. I will definitely be back on a regular basis. I also loved that this was downtown and... More

I took my Japanese wife here because I wanted her to experience some high end Mexican style food. She enjoyed everything she ate including the Ceviche, Soup, Salad and Steak. Although she did order the steak well done and it came medium rare, I happily swapped it with the rather pedestrian Mexican style strips of beer plate I ordered. Her... More

La Habichuela Centro is an experience like none other. After being warmly greeted by staff and immediately made to feel like family, you will be shown to the incredible courtyard where the dining experience is like none other. For the duration of your meal, it's as though you've been transported to another time and place. There is nothing on the... More
