This is one of if not the oldest establishments in Cancun. Very nice restaurant with excellent presentation and service. It can be expensive but luckily there is a trick. Go for lunch ant dinner so try to be before 5 in the afternoon. Then ask the waiter for the carat executivo or executive menu. It is different than the normal... More

In 2011 we had superb meal and service here. 5 stars. This time we can give only 3. Reason is service. Whilst the staff are wholly attentive, what should have been a relaxed and leisurely dinner was turned into a race by the speed of service of the waiters. They were actually running at times. Now that's fine if its... More

My wife and I have been to Cancun 3 times over the past 20 years and we ALWAYS make time to visit the downtown location of this restaurant. Pros: quaint, rustic garden seating, huge perfectly grilled lobster tails, table-made caesar salad, and for desert - table-side cooked banana caramel crepes - to die for! Cons: it's a taxi ride from... More

I had one of the best meals of my life at La Habichuela. It was more the overall experience. The owner chose our meal for us and suggested the drinks and at the end he gave us a very nice present as a keepsake. Great food, lovely garden, very romantic atmosphere, great service.

I have been coming here for 10 years now and I am finally writing a review. (From the table by the window inside.)First of all; ask for Muse. He is the best! Very attentive and extremely knowledgable on the menu. The restaurant is in downtown Cancun which is much cuter and than the one in the hotel zone. Go for... More

Recommended by our hotel Director Michelle & she arranged for us. The seafood and Mayan atmosphere in the romantic courtyard was something special! Don't go to the one in Cancun hotel area....take a cab and go to the one downtown Cancun! Seafood Ceviche is the best I've ever had.

First and foremost the service here is just awful. They played the ole bait and switch game with our reservation outside. When we called them on it they blamed others then sat us at the worst table in the place. There are plenty of GREAT restaurants in Cancun I suggest you don't waste your time or money on this place.... More
