La Habichuela Sunset
Surpasses your expectations.
Welcome: A unforgettable sunset awaits you.
They say its a museum turned into a restaurant. Aside from its bold and modern arquitechture, the ambiance is based on the mayan culture with the intent of giving our customers a unique experience surrounded by masks of ancient kings, a 9 meter mayan column from floor to ceiling and a 30 meter hand carved kukulkan wooden snake. Our open garden area next to the lagoon allows you to dine with the stars and the moon.
But our biggest pride being our exquisite dishes, from traditional yucatecan recipes to sophisticated caribbean/mexican fusions. We have a vast variety of international wines as well as national.
We follow and maintain our founders philosophy of providing prompt and detailed service since 1977.
Dont miss our mayan rituals shows during the week that will transport you in time to the ancient mayan civilization.

The food was excellent. Staff was amazing as was the view. The magician was so much fun. We missed the Mayan show but friends told us it was wonderful. We dined there two different evenings we enjoyed it so much.

The food is really good too. We sat by the window since the winds were high that night and still had a beautiful view of their garden and the lagoon. The interior is old Mayan. my husband had the Trio of steak, grouper and lobster. I had the lobster. We did a taste comparison with the two lobsters and mine... More

This place was also listed in the New York Times as a nice place for a drink at sunset. We wanted dinner, but got caught on a busy night in Cancun with no reservations. We were able to get in early, and were happy for it. The restaurant is large, with lots of groups. Certain nights there is a lavish... More

I wish to have a meal in a decent restaurant before I leave Mexico, instead of taco burrito. I bumped into this restaurant after scrolling in the public part of the Carribbean Sea (near the police station). Atmosphere good with songs in 80s which is my school era. Decor wonderful with style. I ordered traditional cuisine including lime soup, mixed... More

There are so many great restaurants in Cancun, but this is our favorite. This is on the must visit when in Cancun list. The atmosphere is great. The interior of the restaurant is so cool and the garden setting outdoors is so nice. We always sit outside and make a point of being there for the Mayan show, which just... More

On certain nights they have a Mayan show but check the schedule if you want to see it because it is only twice a week. Fabulous atmosphere overlooking the water with white lights and a garden setting. Fun to sit inside too! The food is good but the desserts prepared table side with the flaming pans cannot be beat.

Had a shrimp and a fish filet entree and both were excellent in flavoring. Walked up on a Wednesday evening with no reservation and got right in. A Mayan show starts about 8pm.
