La Habichuela Sunset Surpasses your expectations. Welcome: A unforgettable sunset awaits you. They say its a museum turned into a restaurant. Aside from its bold and modern arquitechture, the ambiance is based on the mayan culture with the intent of giving our customers a unique experience surrounded by masks of ancient kings, a 9 meter mayan column from floor to ceiling and a 30 meter hand carved kukulkan wooden snake. Our open garden area next to the lagoon allows you to dine with the stars and the moon. But our biggest pride being our exquisite dishes, from traditional yucatecan recipes to sophisticated caribbean/mexican fusions. We have a vast variety of international wines as well as national. We follow and maintain our founders philosophy of providing prompt and detailed service since 1977. Dont miss our mayan rituals shows during the week that will transport you in time to the ancient mayan civilization.

Just came back from dinner at this place. We have been visiting Cancun for the past 25 years and Habichuela downtown was always an iconic institution we adored. Thought we would try this place given the history of the restaurant. After a "high" at Peter's restaurant we came crashing down at this very poorly run place The "special" 1600 tequila... More

I visited Cancun this summer with my family to an all inclusive resort. However to explore Cancun, we decided to dine out one evening and was recommended here. The restaurant is in a beautiful setting. Staff extremely friendly and happy to do anything for you. Lovely atmosphere and food was delicious! Would definite recommend this restaurant. Book a table outside... More

We had our rehearsal dinner at La Habichuela, with 35 family and friends. Menu options are varied but did not see any vegetarian options. Food was overall good however the basic open bar is definitely not recommended, so if you want quality, you definitely have to pay more. The restaurant is nice and has a nice view. Bonus: mayan show!

We went here for our last dinner of our Cancun vacation. The food was excellent- even had the caesar salad and crepes prepared table side. The ambiance was gorgeous - my daughter wants to come back and get married there someday!

The setting was so pretty that the food, which was very good, almost didn't matter. The service was top notch as well. We sat outside in the gardens and unless you go, it's hard to describe how pretty the setting is.

We went Friday night for their pre-Hispanic show (shows are Mon, Wed , and Fri). Food was plentiful and delicious, and the show was great and entertaining for all. My 9 and 11 year old even enjoyed the food and thank God because it wasn't pizza, burgers, or chicken nuggets.

Excellent food, great service and reasonable prices for Cancun. Indoor and outdoor seating. Shrimp and fish dishes we had were quite good. Show at 8PM not to be missed. Mayan coffee was divine, almost addicting! Nice ambiance. Would definitely go back.

My wife and family had a great experience here. We went on a recommendation by a friend in Chicago. I had the Creme of Habichuela soup which was fantastic. Wish I could get it here, creative and delicious. Moved on to the Habuichuela special. Lobster and Shrimp in a curry sauce. Perfectly done. I love curry and this was prepared... More
