La Habichuela Sunset Surpasses your expectations. Welcome: A unforgettable sunset awaits you. They say its a museum turned into a restaurant. Aside from its bold and modern arquitechture, the ambiance is based on the mayan culture with the intent of giving our customers a unique experience surrounded by masks of ancient kings, a 9 meter mayan column from floor to ceiling and a 30 meter hand carved kukulkan wooden snake. Our open garden area next to the lagoon allows you to dine with the stars and the moon. But our biggest pride being our exquisite dishes, from traditional yucatecan recipes to sophisticated caribbean/mexican fusions. We have a vast variety of international wines as well as national. We follow and maintain our founders philosophy of providing prompt and detailed service since 1977. Dont miss our mayan rituals shows during the week that will transport you in time to the ancient mayan civilization.

Best!!

Mayan play was excellent. Sitting on patio with twinkle lights, a superior waiter, good friends, excellent food, beautiful sunset - who could ask for more - not us that is for sure. Love the Mexican custom of not presenting a bill until you ask for it!!

This is definitely my favourite restaurant in Cancun for its ambience. The tables in the outside make up for a beautiful dinner and a memorable after-dinner drinks. The service is always present and they won´t leave you unattended. The waiters are really good and make you feel very welcomed. But the best is the food. It is mexican-international fusion. I... The food was so artfully presented and it tasted as good as it looked. We decided that our last dinner be a memorable one, this was. My husband had a Mayan dish which was delicious, prior to that he had a string bean soup. He proclaimed both outstanding. I had a Lime Chicken Soup and a Broiled Shrimp dish served... More

We have been going to La Habichuela for 20 years, starting at the downtown location and moving to the Sunset location when it opened. We have always loved the ambience, the food, and the service. Most of the food was still excellent, the ambience was great, but the service is beginning to slip. I ordered the specialty of the house,... More

Very nice place to eat. it is on the water, but the hedge blocks the view of the bay. They go for a more garden type atmosphere with lights hung from the trees to create a very nice setting for dinner. The show was a lot of fun. For a family it was great free entertainment, my kids loved it.... More

My husband and I dined here on a Monday, April 13th. We were in Cancun for 5 nights and wanted to experience a show, as our hotel had no entertainment & was not an All Inclusive. We have eaten at many Cancun area restaurants over the past 25 years, and this one is up there on our list to re-visit... More

We chose this restaurant, in the midst of Cancun's Hotel Zone, at the recommendation of our hotel concierge. She was correct in stating that the food and service would be memorable, and that the surroundings would be beautiful. We truly enjoyed ourselves, from appetizers and drinks through main courses and dessert (don't skip the Mayan coffee--the presentation is as spectacular... More

This is our first trip to Cancun, and La Habichuela Sunset was our first restaurant off the resort. Great location in the Hotel Zone and very easy to find. The staff is top notch, our waiter, Ubaldo Mendoza was excellent. He is a master at Mayan Coffee! The menu has a really good mix of regional dishes and Continental fare.... More

This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Cancun. I went with my Mom around Mother's Day and we absolutely loved every second of it. The staff were all really sweet, the outdoor patio and views were so quaint, the food was amazing, and we loved the Mayan dance show. The show is only on certain days at 8pm so... More

When in Cancun you MUST dine at La Habichuela Sunset or the original La Habichuela in downtown Cancun, or both! This is not an inexpensive restaurant, but as they say, you get what you pay for. The ambiance is relaxing and romantic. The service is impeccable and the food divine. Be a little adventurous and try the Mayan or Yuatecan... More
