I ate several times at this place and the food and service were fantastic. You can find coupons for either a free margarita or an appetizer for dinner time. Easy to find. For instance, I had three mediuim sized lobster tails one night for US$29!

Went here for lunch when we stayed at Aloft which sits right in front of Calypso. Had been reading decent reviews of this place for years so decided to give it a try. We were not impressed, probably the worst food we had all week.

The staff of the restaurant is very warm and welcoming. Love the food, clean atmosphere, great company. Had so much fun with Mr. Felipe, the owner of the restaurant. You ROCK!!!! It'll be the first restaurant to go on my next vacation to Cancun. Best regards, Pocahontas Ne zinhomes@gmail.com

We went here based on the reviews here, but were really disappointed. Soup and Mole Enchiladas we're among the worst I've ever had.

Me and a few friends came to cancun for a week.. We wanted to experience Mexican food and culture and man did Felipe show us how it's done! We went to calypsos lunch and dinner every day for a week. Felipe and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly offering tequila shots on the house most evenings and providing... More

We happened upon this little hidden place as we were shopping in town and needed a nail salon (next door) for Shellac polish! We stayed and drank for several hours and our bill was very reasonable! Had good food, the Rock Crab claws were huge! Loved the waiter, very friendly guy. We were the only people there midday so he... More

We visited this restaurant based on previous reviews. Not a fancy restaurant but the staff was friendly especially Philipe Gonzales whom we believe to be the owner or manager. I wanted to eat a whole fish and I was able to get it there. It was not too busy but is hidden out of site in the downtown area of... More
