It has changed Names to Denavios (sp)

The whole place has been upgraded and renovated- New owners and still the great food and service. If anything, the food is up a notch or two. My wife and I went by ourselves not knowing how it has changed - its wonderful. So we brought a group of eight back with us for a second try. Same... read more

All we in Cancun, we have been bragging about how good the food has been. We could not believe the improvements over the last time we were here 15 years ago. Well that was until last night. The place looks great but it was empty (should have been a sign when we had a hard time getting tables at other... More

This is a restaurant that is a little hard to find but well worth it. It is right across from the Bellvue Hotel. This was mine and my friends 1st time to eat here and will be on my list for every time I come now. The food is not cheap but very good. I had the chicken my friends... More

If you are looking for the reasonably priced Mexican JCCapitan, sadly it is no longer. The lovely setting and friendly staff are the same, but the menu is now upscale and MUCh more expensive. Although we were happy to see a vegan choice on the menu, the price of 170 pesos produced one quinoa stuffed pepper, no salad or even... More

My husband and I visited this place after reading trip advisor and because it was close to our hotel we decided to give it a try. It is no longer called JC Captain. I had to send my shrimp back because it was raw. Once I finally received it my husband was finished eating. They tried to give my a... More

We were concerned that it would be really expensive, but it was our last night and time to have a splurge, we were pleasantly surprised, the price was very reasonable, well worth a dining experience, it wonderful to look out over the water and sunset, great atmosphere, excellent staff, great service, staff speak very good English, and most of all... Excellent food! I had the lobster, which was lovely! The resident crocodile is lurking around so make sure you finish our food!

We found this hidden gem a few years ago. Had an outstanding dinner then...and again this past Wednesday. Cancun is very slow this time of year. And we wondered if this would affect our dining experience. Well, I'm happy to report it didn't! Service was excellent. The food outstanding. And the atmosphere was beautiful. If you go, try to plan... More

Hands down one of the most beautiful settings in Cancun! Instant romance (no effort needed guys) if you want to make extra points with the wife/girlfriend bring them here! This restaurant is walking distance from our resort, but although we had been to Cancun several times we hadn't ever tried it... mainly because it doesn't look like much from the... More

We had so much seafood in Cancun I can't remember exactly what we ordered but I do remember it was fantastic! Some of the best seafood we've ever had! We went during a thunderstorm so the walls were down and the restaurant was empty but we still had a fantastic time! Service was great, prices were pretty standard but worth... More
