I had dinner here with my Australian cousin who had been staying in the Zona Hotelera and eating mainly at Mickey D's so it was her intro to Yucatan cuisine. She loved it. As did I. Had sopa de lima which was delicious. The room is high camp.

I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant as it was the only one I could find nearby that had the traditional Yucatan cuisine I wanted (poc choc, cochinita pibil, papadzules, etc.) However, the dishes we tried just lacked distinctive flavor. Adequate, but disappointing. Service was fine.

We were hoping to get off the tourist track and get a bit of local cuisine. When we entered the restaurant, we were a bit concerned that it was almost completely empty at 7:30PM. The waiters all seemed to be in a bad mood and made very little effort to provide any kind of service. I had a stewed chicken... More

Read reviews from what I consider to be reliable sources. Ones that have taken me to some very exciting and delicious dining experiences. This wasn't one. Terrible drinks, (what was in the Cosmo and how Yucatecan is Boone's Farm with Kool Aid?) mediocre appetizer and dull service added to the average review. The appetizer, a supposed house specialty, was fresh... More

We have been to this restaurant for the last 5 years, and this restaurant has been sliding down for a few years now. Prices are ridiculous. They charged me $168 for a children's plate, and $175 for a pitcher of juice. The macalum dish was salty and the rice was raw and dry. Such a disappointment. This was our final... More

My husband and I wandered into downtown Cancun to shop at WalMart. We got off the bus early to find a local restaurant for lunch. We headed toward La Habichuela. We were not impressed with the venue or the menu prices. We wandered a couple doors down to Labna. White table cloths, great service. We were the only people there... More

Labna serves Yucatecan dishes like cochinita pibil and pollo pibil, pork or chicken wrapped in banana leaves, not spcy hot but very good. Also shrimp in lime sauce, chicken in mole sauce, duck, fish, and more.

It is worth your while to take a trip out of the hotel zone in Cancun to go to Labna which is in the old part of downtown Cancun. We have been going to Cancun at least once a year for the last 20 years and this year we had a real treat while visiting this restaurant. Labna prides itself... More

The best food that I had in Downtown Cancun, was delicious. Very well priced for the quality and variety of dishes available, good portion sizes. Cheap drinks as well is always a bonus. From the outside it doesn't look like much but when you walk in you are taken back by how nicely decorated it is and how large the... More
