We are an operator of restaurants we admire the culture, customs and this land, its people and their way of being. In our restaurant you can enjoy genuine dishes, an interesting atmosphere and service with typical warmth of our race. In addition to the flavor of these exotic lands, home to one of the most amazing civilizations of mankind, that for more than 10,000 years ago populate this region and hunting, gathering and agriculture learned to survive giving rise to a unique cuisine that many years later with the influence and contributions of conquerors modern cuisine that is admired is created. We work with the emerging recipes "vox populi" ie the housewives, from every corner of the peninsula, from which arise the different dishes with different ingredients and flavors.

A little hard to find, but worth the trouble. Located by sister restaurant LaHabichuela, Labna offers a less expensive option without sacrificing excellent food & service. Unfortunately, I followed our server's suggestion and got the fish fillet steamed in foil...for some reason they call it a delicacy, but I thought it was boring. Glad I got a Sangria to wash... If you are looking for real, authentic yucatecan food, this is the place! It's in the heart of the city center with nearby parks. The service was great- very knowledgeable about the history of the food. I ate el "paseo yucateca" which included a variety of samples so I was able to try a lot of most things on the... More

My husband and I were only in Cancun for one night and we wanted to sample authentic Yucatecan cusine. We stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant by accident and we were absolutely bowled over. I have a servere allergy to avocado which can be a huge probem normally, expecially in Latin America. The allergy is so severe that contaminated... More

We asked our taxi driver to take us somewhere we could get authentic Mayan food, so he drove us to this interesting place called Labna. When we arrived we were the only 4 people in the place and the manager treated us like we were royalty. Everything was incredible from the appetizers to the Mayan liquor after dinner drink. We... When you are looking for a restaurant that offers quiet authentic ambiance, excellent food, and attentive service in Cancun, this is the place! We enjoyed two delicious meals at Labna. The menu focuses on the regional cuisine of the Maya culture, the service from Gabriel and his staff is quiet old world charm. We highly recommend Labna, and will be... More

The lime soup and shredded pork dinner are the best! The margarita is the margarita that ALL margaritas will be judged by! Dinner for two with cocktails and desert came to $43.00. The Mayan coffee and bananas flambé (made table side) were perfect. Excellent presentation of both table side.

The food at Labna is special because it's regional Yucatecan food, but it's exceptional because it's artful cuisine - the cooking of a master chef. The restaurant itself is comfortable and attractive, reflecting the indigenous style (and beside a delightful city park), and the waiters on both of our visits were welcoming and appreciative. If you appreciative fine cuisine at... More

We came to Cancún only to get our flight back to México City. Cancún is a copycat of Miami or Barra da Tijuca in RIo de Janeiro: they all commited the same crime of destroying an incredible landscape by building anti-urban spaces (meaning segregated spaces for cars and rich people). But we spotted a real place in this city, and... More

Will return to this place over and over again. The decor is very nice, the staff very professional and friendly. Food was authentic mexican and delicious. If you want to change from chains, tex-mex, faux-mex and bad/noisy places go to Labna. Apettizer and entree will cost you a little less than $20 US. Well worthed. A jewel in Downtown Cancun.

Take the bus to downtown Cancun to Jardin Las palapas, walk a few blocks to Labna. Staff is great and the food is to die for. They have fish, and meat dishes cooked following strict traditional recipes, if you really know about international cuisine you will appreciate this simple and cozy restaurant.
