Sushi

I have lived in Mexico over 16 years and Yamamoto's is one of the best sushi restaurants that I have eaten that in Mexico. It is one of the few sushi bars in Mexico that consistently has Hamachi. The sushi is excellent and the service is fast and courteous. You can either eat at a table or sit at... read more

We found this too expensive compared to the food quality. Not good value compared to other nearby restaurants.

The food at Yamamoto was a bit hit and miss. The nigiri was excellent, whereas the gyoza was overdone - turned out to be deep fried rather than pan fried (there was a nice picture of pan fried gyoza). The soup had lovely flavours, but unfortunately all of the meat and seafood was overcooked. We started by ordering three nigiri.... More

After two weeks of Mayan, Mexican, with a few Italian meals tossed in, finding a great sushi bar was nice. It was right across the street from our hotel, the ECO-Hotel El Rey del Caribe.

I like Japanese food, but my friends love Japanese food and Sushi. We went to Yamamoto and they all said the sushi was fantastic. I stuck with the chicken teppanayki and it was very good too. I've been to this restaurant several times in the last 20 years and I've never been disappointed.

We arrived late on a Sunday evening 15 minutes before closing time, and we were treated well, not rushed in the least and were served delicious sushi at reasonable prices. Directly across the street from the Best Western.

If you like sushsi, this place will satisfy you. We had Hamachi and Salmon sushi, Udon tempora, a Tempora appitizer and cold sake. We eat sushi a couple times a month in DC and have high expectations. This place held up pretty well. All was excellent, but the Hamachi had a slighty fishy task - but not too bad. Typical... More
