We had a great dinner at Mikado. Based on the previous reviews we weren't sure how good the restaurant was going to be, but we thought we give it a shot. Although it is not traditional Japanese in the fact that there are no Japanese employees there, the food was very good. We sat and an individual table and not... More

Went to Mikado with a party of six, including 2 kids. My wife got some sushi and the rest of us got hibachi. I think the presentation and the cook did a great job, but the food was just OK. The vegetables were a bit dry and spicy, and the meats and shrimps were cooked a bit too late and... More

Just returned home from a week stay at the GBP Coba. Had the oportunity to have a dinner at a show table a the Mikado Ala Carte restaurant. Unfortunately the time we received for our reservation was 5:30pm. I prefer a time of 6:30 or later to get as much time in at the beach & still have time to... More

We wanted to try Mikado after it opened its doors for business once again. It was closed for remodeling and enhancements were done to both the restaurant and the service. We were there during late Saturday, had made a reservation, to ensure we would be attended. The restaurant is decorated in shades of grey, no pun intended. We had a... More

This restaurant is in the Grand Bahia Principe complex of hotels and is well worth a visit. Ask to have the show and a very talented chef shows you all his expertise whilst cooking your food and then serves it all up to you in a very clever way! Not to be missed and is one of your 3 Al... More

When we entered the restaurant, we had high hopes, since the waiters and waitresses were dressed in kimonos- must be a pretty authentic place, right? Not really. The teppanyaki show was cool and entertaining, but the food and quality of service isn't as good. Our waiter was rather cold and sullen- he also messed up orders. We specifically asked for... More

The ambiance and "show" were good. The quality of the food was disappointing. The chicken was dry and the broccoli was hard and not tasty. The miso soup tasted a bit funky. Try the beef broth instead. I'm used to better quality tappinyaki in Raleigh NC.
