We went here around 4 oclock on saturday and did the tequila tour. It was incredibly informative and fun! Included information about the agave plant, the fermenting and distillation processes, differences in tequila types, and a lesson on how to properly drink it. After the lesson, youre left with some tequila and an assortment of delicous appetizers. I only wish... More

Look, it's not the best meal you will have but in saying that it's on par with eating at a steakhouse. So what's wrong with that ? I mean some of the reviewers that have offered negative reviews maybe should have gone to a Wolfgang Puck or Gordon Ramsey Restaurant, I'm sure their is better chefs in the States or... More

We have been dining at la destileria for years, so we decided to book for New Year's. of course, you always take your chances on this day--expensive, average food and service. And that's what we got. Actually, I wouldn't have minded the expense if my main course wasn't cold (I sent it back), the service painfully slow and showed a... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by the concierge at our hotel. I'm usually suspect of these recommendations because there's often some kind of quid pro quo relationship -- but this one was right on. La Destileria shines in terms of food quality, service and atmosphere. We were a party of four and wiped our plates clean of everything we... More

My wife and I went at the recommendation of our hotel concierge. Food was above average but it did not blow me away but I must admit it was much better than Mexican food at home. With that being said, the restaurant was very clean and the wait staff was very attentive.

The food was good. Service was good. There is no lunch menu on Sunday. Prices are expensive for lunch. You are paying same rate as evening with Mariachi band. Which is not available at lunch.

They offer tequila flights-which is a great ay to sample some high-end tequilas, which we learned that you "sip" (no lime needed) rather than take a shot:)

Please avoid at all cost unless you like mass-tourism conveyor belt production restaurants. We went there with a group of 10 people. From the moment you walk in you realize this restaurant targets tour buses. Cheap decor, dirty table cloths. The food arrived cold - the congealed sauces and cheeses made it clear that the food has been mass-prepared hours... More

My wife and I had one of the best dining experiences of our Cancun trip at La Destileria. We asked to be seated outside, the evening was very pleasant. The outside seating filled up quickly with diners enjoying themselves and the evening. We started with fresh guacamole made table side, I had the Chipotle shrimp and my wife had the... More

We visited this place yesterday after getting another babysitting pass from ma and pa. After half a cocktail, my wife was tipsy. I ordered the mango Love Margarita (twice the size of your normal margarita) and a massive thing arrived - absolutely delicious. Finished me off! The restaurant is cavernous, befitting of its tequila distillery theme, very atmospheric. Lots of... More
