I liked the place because it´s like a landmark of the port of Veracruz. The breakfast was ok, but really loved the coffee! The location is also great with a view of the port. You can see it from a 360º picture I took from the port: http://digital-editorial.com/recorridos360/VeraPuerto.html

This is an institution in Veracruz. They have been her since 1808. I have been married to a Mexican from Veracruz for 20 years and this is always a spot we hit when visiting. The coffee is very good, and it is a huge tradition. It has gotten very expensive by Mexican standards, and the food has become mediocre at... More

People friendly and a wonderful place; love how they serve the coffee then someone comes with the milk.

Love the coffee here... It was so rich and dreamy. I wish I could drink more than one, but if I did I would probably get too shaky. Services was nice, they pour the coffee and then a guy comes and adds the steaming milk in the glass. It is very fun to watch!

It's a place where I guess you have to go check it off your list. Coffee is good. Ambience is so-so. DO NOT order food. Mediocre and very overpriced.

There are several locations. We were at the most famous one, next to hotel Emporio. Very efficient crowd management. We were there during Carnival and there were lots of people everywhere, but the restaurant did a good job of organizing the line and seating people quickly. Waiters were very quick and attentive. The menu is extensive but we only went... More

Good coffee and pastry, would no recommend to eat something other than breakfast. Could be packed during weekends and holidays, so be patience.

The Coffee is good, but the food isn't exciting, though overpriced for what you get. The service is quick, but impersonal. If returning I would do coffee and dessert and eat someplace else.

Pouring "coffee as it ought to be," as their motto states, since 1808, and probably not much changed since then either. Order a lechero, a glass of double espresso served first in my case, after which a man comes to the table with a large metal "tea" pot, from which, at a great height, he pours hot milk to produce... Like many, I just had to try the coffee and feel the tradition. Coffee was wonderful but service was just so-so. I like coffee so needless to say, I ordered the grande. For me, I had them add some more coffee before adding the milk. Glass is HOT but worth the wait for it to consumed. Breakfast was so-so; mixed... More
