We had the same restaurant at our hotel (Diligencias) but this one is located right on the beach, service was very good, our food was very good, prices reasonable a little bit more than other places but location well worth it, even in our hotel is worth it because is right across zocalo, but we also wanted to enjoy the... We were invited to enjoy lunch at Villa Rica nearly two weeks ago and the memory of that meal still lingers. We left the choices of food to our hostess and man, were we ever pleased. Fresh fish on steroids!!! If we ever return to Veracruz, we will definitely make sure we enjoy at least one meal at Villw Rica.

Very nice place to have lunch or dinner, with a great assortment of dishes, entrees and seafood. A bit expensive, but it's worth it!

On almost every trip to Veracruz, I make this one of my first restaurant choices for dinner. Finding the place can be a bit tricky, but once there one can enjoy freshly prepared seafood within striking distance of the beach. Service is very good, can come across a bit sales-y (recommending high priced specials), so staying with menu is always... More

Veracruz's best restaurant right on the beach. Service is excellent. Great seafood choices. I had "caracol al mojo de ajo" conch in a garlic sauce served with rice and vegetables, simple delicious! While you are eating you have the best view the Gulf of Mexico!

Downtown Veracruz is not as good as it was a few years ago. The ambiance is gone. Villa Rica is OK, locals patron it, but just as the city has lost part of its charm, this restaurant doesn't go beyond OK.

I think this is the best seafood restaurant in Veracruz. The service is also good and the restaurant is located right on the beach.

I went here for a recommendation, first when we arrived the valet parking received the car 10 mins! Ok, other 10 mins to be seated!, then I ordered a clam chowder, it was terrible for me, no good tasting, no clams!!, then I ordered a fish Mojo de Ajo, it was supposed to be 600grs but when it came looks...
