Diner-style delicious

Portions were very generous; my fish spilled over the sides of my large plate and was sweet and fresh. Salads lovely and filling and their specialty coffee-milk creation is warming on a blustery day. Zero ambiance but I would return for the food. Service attentive.

Far more a restaurant then a cafe. The colliie is very good but the food is also excellent and sometimes there is live music.

The menu has a variety of typical Mexican food. In Veracruz one must try the typical Veracruz Lechero coffee. Service is excellent.

Nice, very crowded, but good crowd management at the door so good inside. Their specialty is some strong (local) coffee served with hot milk, artistically poor from pretty great height. Some politician was there shaking hands and I did not realize who he was. Recommended but go to the port location that is more popular then the city one.

This is a classic. But it is a trendy crowded place where I feel that the wait and the cost are not really justified. Some people love it so maybe you should do your own judgment.

This review was written in a backdrop of apprehension with the unique problems facing most places in Mexico. Tonight, we were seated and taken back to a time when you could enjoy a meal with friend for what it was worth. And in the end you have the memory of the good food, the good company and good time. At... More

This is a staple at Veracruz. The new Parroquia at Boca Del Río y Just as good as the old one downtown, so chose either. Ask for a lechero (coffee and milk served at your table by the waiters) just to see how they are served. A bomba ( a concha, type of sweet bread) with natas (skin on boiled... More

great location, great history and great coffee! Cafe con leche is the best choice, I guess it must be 200 years of service and 4 or 5 generations.

I had high expectations. The places is Veracruz most famous place but the coffee is not fantastic, the food is the average coffee shop food in Mexico, staff is not friendly and prices are high for what it is. I will look for a better place. Place is really ugly -fluorescent light all over-.
