Delicious quesadillas in lovely courtyard restaurant

Chose the Sotavento in the Los Arcos Hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews and agree fully with all the positive comments. Our quesadillas were the best we have tasted in a long time. Great food, service and setting.

Actually, my review title pretty well sums it up. This was a quiet courtyard restaurant and bar, very attractive, with good food and good service. We liked it. I'm never sure whether to call our meals lunch or dinner--could be either--because when in Mexico we kind of do the Mexican thing and have our main meal mid-to late-afternoon.

A perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal with friends. Nestled in the atrium of a hotel in Taxco, Mexico, This quaint restaurant has great service, people and food. I loved it so much I ate there every day of my stay.

This courtyard restaurant is part of the Los Arcos Hotel, in the heart of Taxco, a Pueblo Magico. Having lived in Mexico for the last 10 months, I have to say it had some of the best and freshest tasting ingredients I've eaten in the country! The Mexican platter was delicious and reasonably priced (a 2 course meal for 2... More

The waiter was extremely attentive, proactive, and just all around wonderful. The food was exceptional as well. Get the Mexican combination plate! It is amazing. Honestly the best meal I had in Mexico..... and one of my top meals ever. Delicious! It is also really reasonably priced. The indoor courtyard was beautiful. I will be back!

Just visited Taxco and had a great time. Third visit to Taxco and still enjoy the Sotavento Restaurant. Breakfast was great, waitress was exceptional. We also had dinner there one night. I had the pasta with ham, bacon and tomato. Very tasty. Highly recommend.

Nice food and the place is cool and quiet. We had dinner and be deligthed with enchiladas verdes and caldo tlalpeño (soup). Good place to rest after walking around taxco. We will be back.

Four of us had a wonderful meal in the courtyard and we all enjoyed the food. It was the day of the dead weekend and they had some fun decorations in the courtyard. The food did take a while to arrive but we enjoyed a nice drink and soaked up the atmosphere. The prices were very reasonable and I would... More

It is hard to find good food at a restaurant in a very touristy place like taxco but reading from the reviews here in tripadvisor, i decided to give it a try and it just didn't dissapoint, the food was very good (Crepas de Huitlacoche - a Mexican delicacy) and other stuff and it was very good!! the hotel is... I love this place. We've been coming here since their first location. Their current location inside the Hotel Los Arcos lends a symbiotic relationship as each business gives the other something they don't have independently. Breakfast and dinner options are well thought out and the combination of flavors are creative and easy on the pallet. There are always locals as... More
