This is the place to come for Mole Negro - at a less expensive price than its sister restaurant, Casa Oaxaca restaurant. The service was very good.

I absolutely love this place, the food is excellent, the setting is gorgeous (especially the roof terrace) and the service attentive. It is REALLY good and the bar is also a great place to meet friends and have a snack.

This place was great for lunch. You sit in the rooftop terrace overlooking some of the nearby buildings. It's quite charming. The food was the best we had in Oaxaca. The service was quite good. It was hot out but we enjoyed the shade provided by the umbrellas. All the dishes we had were great. We had the ceviche, the... More

I walked just down the street and around the corner from my hotel to this lovely gourmet restaurant, and I sat up on their outdoor upstairs terrace overlooking the back of the cathedral. In the courtyard below, a dance performance was being held which I could see a little bit of from my terrace perch. I arrived at the restaurant... More

Expensive by Oaxacan standards but not Canadian. Lovely garden setting, make sure to sit in a shaded area if your having lunch...I had a huge piece of tuna grilled just enough to sear it with a wonderful green sauce, not to spicy...To die for! A sauce was made for me at the table to my own specifications. Exceptional service. I... More

Both the food and the atmosphere make Casa Oaxaca Café a most enjoyable spot for lunch or dinner. Tables in an open patio provide an inviting setting and we found the food equally satisfying. Typical Oaxacan dishes are prepared with skill and served with a friendly, sophisticated flair. The roasted tomato salsa that waiters prepare tableside is one of the... More

Cafe Oaxaca was recommended by the place we stayed and we were so pleased by the ambiance, food and service. The Oaxacanos dishes were delicious as well as the pasta. The mescal tasting was really fun! the map on Trip Advisor is a bit confusing. The restaurant is two blocks north of the location given on the Trip Advisor map... More

We had a wonderful meal here. It is a beautiful romantic setting, excellent service, fabulous creative food--not wholly Oaxaqeanan, but we had been there 4 months and enjoyed something different.

First time there for a lunch. Had the advantage of being with a 'local' so don't know how/if that effected anything. The staff is young, trained and eager - a delicious unusual salsa was made at the table. A variety of generously portioned entrées were all enjoyed. Host was particularly attentive, good humored and generous - insisted that we have... More

This restaurant is worth the extra distance north to Col. Reforma. The neighborhood is lovely, mostly shops, restaurants and residences. The sister restaurant to Casa Oaxaca has a l garden seating area with lights in the trees and lots of plants. The service is the best we got in Oaxaca. Service worthy of a 5-star place in the states, including... More
