Stick with the Mexican food

I have visited this restaurant on multiple occasions for breakfast and they have always been delicious. Its one of the most beautiful spots in Oaxaca, the terrace is amazing! The food is a very interesting mix between Oaxacan and Lebanese. Try the mezcal cocktails, delicious!

This restaurant (and the café across the small green plaza) is a very well designed – attractive - oasis of calm in the center of town, about east of the Zocalo. They specialize in food from Oaxaca and also from Lebanon (apparently the owner, who also owns an important Mexican bank, hails from Lebanon and Oaxaca). I ate on the... More

Good restaurant, some interesting food options. Absolutely solid performance. I would happily recommend it. In fact I would be keen to return in daylight hours since the setting will likely be in its element then. Only missed out on a 5 for me because it was a little formal for my taste and lacked a certain spontaneity and/or flair.

Went here today for comida. Staff switched readily between Spanish and English, but not in an annoying way, since we do speak enough Spanish to function in restaurants more or less. Very respectful staff who seem to enjoy their job. Dined on the ground floor instead of going upstairs to the room with the room. Husband had caprese salad, artfully... More

We went as a group of four for breakfast. The setting upstairs is modern and very comfortable overlooking the courtyard entrance to the very worthwhile textile museum. The service was excellent, very attentive. We had huevo rancheros and one order of hot cakes. The huevos were tasty but nothing extraordinary. Tne cakes arrived luke warm, returned and not charged. The... More

Hi Nuuanu! We are glad to read that you had a good experience with us. We have also read that someone at your table had a problem with hot cakes. I had a chat with the chef and kitchen. We will be more careful with the temperature and make "huevos rancheros" taste better! Thanks for your comment, we invite you... More

We spent a week in town; our first visit. We went to all the listed restaurants in TripAdvisor. This is, without a doubt, the best food, service and ambiance. It is next to the Ex- San Pablo Convent, three blocks from the Zocalo. They have no false pretentions, they are no fusion cousine. Just outstanding Oaxacan food. Without the pesky... More

You'll sit overlooking the newly preserved Convent de San Pablo. We enjoy eating on the second floor. Extensive menu of Oaxaca dishes and a few surprises from the Arab world too. Great dinks. Live jazz some nights. Go.

We went to this place in November last year and loved it. The food was one of the best meals we had in Mexico, delicious and interesting food with very generous serves. So generous we didn't have room for dessert but we went back the next day and had dessert then, which we were glad we did! We can especially... More

Three of us US went for lunch twice - the first time with a local. The setting, yes, is spectacular - upstairs and down, but I could not find an earlier reported overview of the city.
